Rested xp is kinda pointless or even actually useless but the amount that you get for it is even worse and rested xp buff is on a 1 hour timer, so I mean, it doesn’t make sense to me. The amount granted from one quest at peak of serenity doesn’t even seem to be a quarter of a bar.
This change was not a useful or positive one in my opinion and I think it would be better functionally and in terms of entertainment value for it to be reverted/buffed back to the amazing buff we used to get as a monk.
This ranks among one of those changes for the class (and I know I am a couple years late on this but) that serves no purpose except to make the experience worse. And I do sometimes levy that accusation against a lot of changes but for those I can imagine a counter argument to them but this isn’t one where I can think in devil’s advocate in my head.
Like the first thing that comes to mind is that it’s supposed to slow down bots from leveling but bots don’t level like this they do stuff like siren isles spam or you know a dungeon where they can farm tons of elites. And the monk buff being good or being useless doesn’t affect the existence of bots or stop them from power leveling to end game content. It does negatively impact my enjoyment of the game though.
I can’t think of any other reason for the change. I am gonna google this right now maybe there’s a blue post.

So we get a daily quest…that gives rested xp that doesn’t fill even a quarter of a bar.
Look, I’m done analyzing it, please revert this. Also the first thing that came up on that google search was that it’s broken on MoP classic where the buff gets deleted upon instance transfer or loading screens in general, so maybe fix that while you’re at it and then copy the code and put it in retail.
I know this isn’t the forum for it but another thing that never had an explanation and was never fixed was that the “champion a faction” option for MoP reps was removed at the same time that this was broken/changed apparently, and I would very much like to be done with some reputations without grinding infinite time walking to buy badges.
