Maybe be careful not to overlap defensive with your healer and press wall when they’re in a stun, or port out if you’re the target.
Would help if we could see some of your gameplay. In general make sure that you’re exerting proper offensive pressure and try to rotate your defensives & not overlap them with eachother or your healer’s. Also, while porting defensively CAN be good, it is almost never necessary atm, which mean you could be playing TOO defensively and giving the other team too much time to position and steamroll you.
Gameplay would be useful to see, but I’m not 100% sure why you would come from behind a pillar and use Brew to go back in if you are being focused.
If the other team has their CDs rolling and you ported out just … Stay out. As Mr Miyagi said: “best defense is no be there”.
If you are playing celestial conduit Brew is one of your biggest defensives as it gives a large absorb too so, I wouldn’t be popping it to run back into a fight. That might be where people are thinking you may be botting?
If you’re struggling with say melee, keep in mind that blackout kick reduces the cd of FoF, so if you need don’t worry about mastery and just spam bok until fof is back up and if you’re conduit user don’t strike of the windlord except for mini burst setups.
You should only really teleport out if major dmg cds are up and they’re chasing you, try to save a defensive for if you need it during burst so you can stay in as long as you can.
Spell casters, your best defense is a good offense trying to shut them down as much as possible.
But don’t over use your mobility as that is your greatest tool (both offensively and defensively) over anything else.
