Monk weapon use visibility

Are we ever going to get an option to use our weapons during combat as monks? At least for some of the attacks?

It’s insulting that we never do so. Or at least not have the option to. Defeats the point of transmog when they just sit on our backs or disappear entirely if we have a backpack or something on.

Monks used to use their weapons. The animation is even still there: MonkOffenseAttackWeapon.

I will never in my life understand why they removed blackout strike and it’s completely unique animation that used the staff and just gave BrM blackout kick like they had on MoP release. It’s so nonsensical and unnecessary I can only see it as some butthurt developer that doesn’t like monks being intentionally malicious.

They could just make it a glyph or a toggle and let people decide for themselves.

I’d love the option to smack people with my monk’s brewing cauldron staff.

Plus one of the best things about the MoP cinematic was the monk’s use of a staff as a weapon.

I’m happy we at least see our fist weapons, but yeah, I really do wish we could swing our staves around like Donatello or something similar. I also think other classes like warlocks and mages should be able to do things like hold their stave out in front of them or slam it on the ground, with spells coming out of it.
I also wish all people had the brewmaster monk stance where they can rest the weapon on their shoulder.

Mistweaver Monk will rest the artifact staffs on their shoulders as well. At least that is how my upright Mag’har MW poses with it.

Adding on to this: allow Warriors to transmogrify two-handed weapons into one-handed ones and vice versa.

Hunters should be able to transmog dual wield if you aren’t going to give it to them, and everyone should get the option of weapons in hips or back too. All such trivial options but apparently we can’t have nice things.

Duel wielding guns would be pretty cool!

The insulting part is brewmasters used to attack with their weapon when they had blackout strike in BFA. But for some reason blizz decided we should never use our badass staves and changed it to blackout kick. There should be a glyph that changes blackout kick to blackout strike and uses weapons to attack.

Haven’t tested it for a while, but don’t the Legion Monk Artifact weapons show up during combat, like the Elemental Shaman’s do?

Oh, come on…
