Monk Training quests are badly overtuned

The Masters in the daily/leveling training quests for monks appear very overtuned after the squish. Masters are hitting for very high dmg, and its often difficult just to survive their autoattacks, let alone any of their mechanics. Master Hsu seems especially bad, with his blackout kicks hitting me for over 1/3 of my health, not even counting his autos or the poison he puts on you you need to dispel.

I’m not sure if it’s still an issue but they never adjust them. There was a quest that required touch of death which only one spec had so you had to change specs to do it. Same for the quest to interrupt. As a healer, you basically are told you’re not allowed and that you need to respec.

Actually, just checked and MW still doesn’t have an interrupt so you still need to respec for that one.

I tried 10 times in a row to beat Hsu as a Brewmaster, his auto attacks wreck me.
Level 30

They’ve been broken and/or over tuned for years. I remember being required to use an ability that I don’t even learn for 12 more levels for the quests there.

Blizzard doesn’t care. If they would, they wouldn’t have let those problems exist literally for YEARS without fixing them.

Also, Monks are dead to Blizzard as well. They don’t care about them at all, it’s as if they don’t want players to play them.

Yeah I had a quest early on that required you to interrupt the caster, but didn’t get Spear Hand Strike for another 6 levels.

I’m having the same issues here as well, he can 1 shot through Karma and you can’t heal enough to survive the encounter. Even died to someone else’s master cheng with a blackout kick while standing there!! If you use SEF and the leveling trinket touch of Void, aswell as karma and fortify you can bust him down with only needed to detox once but its still close.

oh and now apparently enlightenment is bugged and just disappears, awesome job Blizz maybe by spring you will get thinks fixed for ShadowLands

This is a bit late, but the changes they’ve made were along the lines of “We’re changing Monk’s Enlightenment to give Rested XP instead of an hour long XP Buff”
This is in-line with the changes to heirloom gear (Which, let’s face it, sucks).
And On top of ALL of that, the Monk Boss Quests are STILL overtuned. I had to cheese them at lower levels due to Touch of Death being an instant kill, but once you get the first upgrade, it stops being useful and it’s nearly impossible to win against Hsu.
I Just want to play monk, dammit.

I honestly thought it was VERY refreshing to have an actual challenge for a change. I died a number of times and was forced to actually make a plan and try different things. It just made more sense too. I mean, they’re masters. They shouldn’t be pushovers like everything else in this game.
