Monk Changes that make me mad and confused

Does anyone else just get mad when they remove usefull things and demand that it just works? I liked bone dust brew and no matter why it was usefull even if they had to change it like half duration and half CD or something but instead they just removed it and said screw em. and all for what? “Imporved throughput?”

What do you mean removed it? It’s still one of our viable mythic plus builds for ww and used in all builds for brm.

Or are you referring to MW not having it? Cuz that’s been awhile.

BDB is still there for brew and wind. Did you really like it as Mist?

I preferred it as MW :person_shrugging:

I hope they remove it for WW too honestly

Its missle travel speed is so slow. It really doesnt jive with the pace of the spec. (Neither does FLS really … )

They need to put in some talents that fit better.

The best build currently for WW is when you skip fls and bdb all together.

Not number wise but gameplay wise. They should erase both and boost the core of ww

If i could choose between dropping faeline/jadefire and keeping xuen or dropping xuen and keeping jadefire, i would keep jadefire honestly.

and thats why we will never have a rework because the community dont know what they want

Well, people on the individual level will have different opinions.

I’m very simple minded, all I want is my moveset to be 100% about martial arts moves and techniques, no summons, or summons optional, even for the other 2 specs, I’m not sure how popular this is as an opinion, But I can live without having that as well

I’d be ok with tiger statue, bonedust brew, and faeline stomp (for WW) all going away and having our damage redistributed.

Also remove all of the ToD buffing talents, especially aoe ToD, and redistribute damage accordingly.

Yeah I’d much rather have that be in fof or sck. Tod is nice just in ST in its current form. Very nice in pvp. It might be better functioning as something closer to hammer of wrath with a shorter CD than it currently has in pve tbh

What travel speed? You’re in melee. You drop it on a pack of mobs that are next to you so there’s no travel time.

Use [@cursor] so you can skip the ground target reticule.

This will be weird, but it is probably my bias as I started in BFA, but I know that monks weren’t in a good state back then, but I still miss that version of monk in some aspects, specially how TOD worked back then, specially with PVP talents. Having that effect move to Xuen in SL (and Xuen becoming baseline) were two major downsides to the class that still bother me today, even more because those are elements still present in the class.

But, on the other side, being able to run Serenity and WDP at the same time feels good.

WDP should be on a choice node with FLS that triggers everything JFS would, since they’re both now dragon themed.

Let me choose if I prefer temporary movement blocking with higher burst and imperfect faeline uptime (WDP) or more long term movement restriction in exchange for perfect overlap and a slightly higher potential top end.

I feel the damage node should be changed to also be a displacement towards the center of either effect (against players, as a “dragging” effect toward the center and not a displacement, leaving only DKs with PvP grips).

There would be no contention if you could just play WDP within 1% of Stomp. But as it stands now, they’re not competing talents, so it bloats the already scarce GCD space.

I also believe aesthetically, jadefire is fine enough, but WDP could benefit by “breaking up” some ground effects for the player only and dispersing some white and black sha essence. (Creating a visual theme similar to a Yin Yang ground cyclone.)

Not always. If you’re going to attack a pack you haven’t reached yet you might toss it at them beforehand

Why? It only lasts 10 sec. What benefit do you get from tossing it at ranged? You’re losing out on extra damage.
