This chest called “Molten Lock” , what is in it?
Is it even worth bothering to open?
I don’t feel like dropping 30K on a BIS weapon enchant to open this and have it be some trash.
i’ve read about certain classes being able to open it with frost magic or chaos magic and such but as a Warrior, I don’t have that option.
I tried the “mechanism bypass” but it took it down to like 10% health and then it becomes immune again and heals right back up and the bypass has a two hour cooldown.
It’s a pretty impressive looking chest, but what have you guys gotten from it?

Not worth it no. But also like 1000 dragon flight supplies gives you a spell to open it like an actual spell book spell reusable.

Problems opening these if you dont have any frost spells?
Use Phial of Glacial Fury and pull a mob next to the chest and dmg the mob so that the ice AOE’s the chest.
This will remove the molten lock from it and you can open the chest.
If you dont have any mobs nearby, ask a friend or someone close to duel you and do the same thing

Ya I read that too.
the main issue with that is inside the cave there are only two mobs, a named leet and a fire elemental, I’m guessing by the time I have killed the two, the chest will have gone back to immune.
It seems to be open to damage for only a few seconds, then it goes back to being immune and heals itself back to full.
Maybe you can start a custom group for molten chest and a few will join you
I got it, used the phial on a frog I pulled inside, here is what i got…
healing potion, Artifact, primal chaos
3 titan relics
37 dragon isle supplies
Totally NOT worth it, cheap Blizzard, very cheap.
I figured with all the trouble they went through to make it a special chest there would have been a 376 or something in it, so it would at the very least be cool for someone leveling through the area.

I know this is old, but there is an attackable NPC right next to the chest now, which should help with opening. People of the future might want to know!
As a warlock i was able to open it with chaoz, only 1 hit and it opened. I received dragon isles artifact, sacred tuzcar totem, refreshing healing potion,arcane infused crystals (4) and dragon isles suppies ( 17 )
