Because they are part of the hunter challenge tames. Got to kite the spider in cave much like the purple one around, and damage them to the point they get within tame range. But ya it seems the scaling is a little out of whack seeing how they are scaling two levels higher than the player. Heck elite mobs in current content don’t scale that much higher than the player lol.
Yep, I definitely understood why it happened after I picked up the pieces of my body 
. Was more sharing that they do still appear to be spawning in some fashion.

This is the third time I tried to submit a ticket(it is not showing in active tickets section)
I have this toon that is Wrensilverbo-Llane I unlocked all of Molten Front offensive Achievement back when it was current content. I went back to the zone to check on taming another of the spirit beasts in that zone. The zone reset like I never did the quests at all.
I heard it was a bug when looking around about the same issue. What should I do to unlock that zone again to see the regrowth and the certain rares that show only when you unlock the zone. (I still have the portal to the molten front and all the venders the tree us grown and the well is full.)
Update for 8.3:
I was also having issues with none of the rares spawning. I went to the molten front every day for 2 months.
I read today that the area resets if no one is in it for 15 minutes. So I sat next to Deth’tilac’s spawn to see.
On hour 2 Karkin spawned. Hour 3.5 Deth spawned. Hour 4 all other spiders spawned.
So no, there is no bug, you just need to legit camp the molten front for hours for them to actually spawn.
Also side note, they all seem to be on a 2-8 hour spawn. Happy hunting! Hope this clears up some confusion!

Thank you so much!! This has been a life saver! After almost a year of checking to see if the pets were there and accepting the fact I’m probably never going to get them, I can finally confirm THEY DO EXIST! This really does work and I can’t believe I hadn’t thought of it sooner!
Had always wondered why Molten Front just felt a little… off? Like it was kinda dead or something? This explains why!
Thank you so much for this! Karkin spawned a little after 3 hours for me and Deth at 3.5 hours. So weird blizzard has the zones resetting, but this post is the only thing that worked for me to finally start seeing rares. Thanks again!
Another stupid blizzard change just for the sake of change lol. I guess to pad their time played metrics lol. 9:35am here atm. Been sitting in Molten Front since 6am, and not one of the molten front rares is up, or spawned. Gg blizz 
. A couple of the the Hyjal ones are up though in case someone needs any of those.
Yea, the ones in Hyjal are generally always up but im assuming there is at least people questing there or passing through on the regular. Molten Front you literally have to sit there for the 3-8 hours to get the spiders and other animals to spawn. I too think its a bit weird but it is what it is.
Thank You sooooooo much. I started a little after 5:30pm. inside the molten front after reading your comment. I found Karkin at 9, Kirix at 9:41, Skitterflame and Solix at 10 something, and Deth’Tilac at 11:27. Can confirm they do still spawn as of Shadowlands prepatch; you just have to wait HOURS on hours without logging out for them to spawn. I already have Skarr and forgot about the yellow spider so I didn’t check/find those two. Good luck all!!
Just got exalted with Guardians of Hyjal on my hunter, never seen a rare in there.
