Mollie Droprate is Disgusting

Whichever brain surgeon tuned this drop rate must’ve looked at the pandaria world boss mount drop rates and thought yeah. That’s goooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooood game design right there, boye.

A boss that is only up every six weeks dropping a desirable mount at a rate of 1 in 200 is not acceptable. It was never acceptable. That it was also present and equally unacceptable in a previous expansion is not an excuse. If you’d do me a huge favour and stop looking at broken, dysfunctional, toxic design from past expansions with foot-thick rose tinted lenses for a minute or two and design your game properly going forward, that’d be just swell.

It’s meant to be special to get one I guess.

Yeah I ran it across all 12 of my lv. 120 toons and didn’t see Mollie drop for myself or even others. It’s a mess, especially with how World Bosses work in BFA.

I mean the longer it take to drop the longer you will farm it so the longer you will be on.
Thats all what blizzard want.

She’s super cute, but does not appear,

I’ll casually try and get Mollie, but luckily we have the other 2 re colors of the alpaca that are fairly easy to get

Who knows? In a week or a few months they might be like “oops! We forgot to add it to the drop table. Sorry guys” - just like they did with Sha of anger.

I’ve seen it drop multiple times. It’s nowhere near as bad as sha/ruhk/gall/nal.

ive ran sha prolly well over 1k times and still don’t have the mount

That’s not how it works.

Eventually a certain number of people will get disillusioned and stop playing if it becomes clear they will never be able to achieve their goals.

And beyond that, this will serve as a disincentive to run that content for everyone, sooner or later.

mm spesho.

I tried farming her on 17 of my toons, all within a raid of around 25-30+. Only saw one drop.

Wait, are you saying people are going to quit after not getting a rare mount from a world boss, when there are 2 recolors of that mount that are super freaking easy to get?

I’m not sure losing those players would be a net loss to the player base.

Was just saying that as a joke

Funny I got the mount yesterday. Drop rate is fine.

The key to this stuff is to ignore it completely. When the drop rate is 1/1000 or less, 12 tries won’t make a whole lot of difference. In the short term you still aren’t going to get it, and in the long term you’ll eventually overgear it massively to where the actual slot machine pull takes a fraction of the time.

Why not just say “The drop rate is abysmal”. I have watched more people die of cancer than any other disease. Cancer also robs you of your souls and leaves a withering husk in its place.
I think it the only disease out there that makes you gamble with how you want to live out the rest of your life. You can suffer from an insurmountable amount of agony with radiation and Chemo, only to lose the battle, when you could have lived out you last days in a much more pleasant way.

Sorry, I know you meant nothing by it, there is just something about using the word in any other setting then what it was designated for, bugs me. I am no saint I still say a word I should not every now and then.

Regardless I hope Mollie drops for you. (sometime this decade)

Oh and FYI I also was not the one to flag your post, as I said I am 100% sure you meant no harm.

As someone with cancer, I never understood why people get so triggered by others using the term correctly. You know cancer has like 3 or 4 definitions and only one refers to the disease, yes? Do you wag you’re finger at people that say “I’m a Cancer!” when they’re asked their sign?
