the mogu are titan forged and with all the old god stuff maybe they will get caught up in it and be mortals? could be a possibility for a neutral/allied race. wonder what they would look like giant dogs that are ripped oh wait thats worgen.
Aren’t Mogu already curse of fleshed?
i looked up mogu and it says there titan forged
The storyline of the Mogu is that they were subjected to the Curse of Flesh, but then the Thunder King figured out how to use the Titan machinery of Pandaria to reverse the process.
I might be wrong on some of the specifics, but the point is that it’s not a new thing to them. It’s well-worn territory.
So are Humans, Dwarves, and Gnomes, but all of them are also cursed with flesh. Titan-Forged and Curse of Flesh aren’t mutually exclusive - in fact, that’s largely the point of the curse. Pretty sure the Mogu are cursed all the same.
Further than that, even if the Mogu were unafflicted and on our side like the Rajani, I’m not sure they would even want to undo their titan-forging.
from my knowledge mogu got the curse of flesh then reversed it ,thats what the wiki told me
Maybe. It seems vague. But again, I don’t see why undoing their Titan-Forging would be grounds to make them playable.
its not but a simple splinter of what could happen i doubt they are going to do anything with them if they put them on horde thats stereotyping because of there brawny nature but could easily be on alliance but the best choice for them would to be neutral what blizz says there not going to do but ya never know
Problem for them being a playable race is they have no females. We killed the last two on the Isle of Thunder, and those were only being kept by the Thunder King as consorts.
I’m sure they could do some handwavey retcon bullcrap and say that the Mogu who become playable kept their females for some reason, but it still seems unlikely to me.
Rajani are good Mogu created by Ra-Den and have Females… We ultimately might get those Mogu since the others lack females.
Is that on the ptr? That they have females I mean.
Also, all Mogu were created by Ra-den.
Yes they are on 8.3’s PTR…
Still seems unlikely to me, but it’s odd for them to re-introduce Mogu females if that’s not going to be a thing somewhere down the line.
I don’t see that as being a problem; in LOTR Online male is your only option for Dwarves.
And the Viera in FFXIV are female only, too, I think.
The mogu reversed the physical symptoms of the Curse of Flesh, which is why although their in-game NPC models don’t always make it entirely obvious (especially when they have armor on), concept art and questgiver descriptions portray them as stone- and metallic-skinned.
The non-physical symptoms of the Curse like the individualism and susceptibility to powerful negative emotions that instigated the Age of a Hundred Kings seemed to remain present, as shown by how the mogu reverted back into clans and infighting over the throne again once Lei Shen wasn’t around to keep them in line any more.
He “kept them in line” by being the most nasty and powerful of the lot.
Correct.
His need to do so showed that despite undoing the physical effects of the Curse of Flesh, his efforts to reverse the Curse stopped short of eliminating the other symptoms that had come with it. Otherwise the mogu would have been fully reverted to the dispassionate stone automatons they’d been before the Curse afflicted them.
But they weren’t; as soon as Lei Shen was gone, they began infighting for dominance again, renewing the sort of dynastic generational wars that had prevented unity among them before his rise. And without Ra-den’s power or the implicit mandate to conquer and rule that came with it, every emperor’s reign afterward was shaped by having to fend off constant attempts by other clans to overthrow and replace him.
They became like the Titan Keepers themselves! The Titan Keepers and Stormforged Valarjar were never dispassionate which indicates that whatever Lei Shen did to reverse the Mogu turning to Flesh thing was based on whatever Odyn used to create his Stormforged Valarjar.
Or maybe that’s simply how Oni are.
