No, just remove the esport from the rpg.
Completely agree. Toxicity existed in WoW before m+, but the influx of competitive try-too-hards that were drawn by m+ has increased the toxicity of WoW by a huge factor, and that’s something WoW could do without. End game level gear should only drop in raids, or close to that level should be able to be made by players.
I honestly do not think classic is all that popular, it’s old content, although it probably has a less toxic community.
IMO, m+ is a cancer in Wow that needs to be removed and my hatred for it is well known. I tried it when it first came out, and absolutely despised it, and since it’s implementation I have seen the steady decline of WoW, admittedly for many other reasons as well, but m+ I see as a large contributor to WoW’s decline as it does indeed destroy the community by promoting a toxic rushing mentality.
I also believe that m+ has also contributed to the steady decline in quality, and number, of 5-man instances. Furthermore, the lazy design philosophy contributed to the destruction of old instances like Scholomance, etc.
If m+, the current dev team and management of ActiBlizz are removed, I believe the steady decline of WoW will slow. I doubt it will ever be as popular as it once was, there is now far too much bad blood and distrust, mostly caused by ActiBlizz and it’s current dev and management teams.
Semper Fi!
