When you work as a programmer and have been working from home for the last almost three years, you tend to have a lot of free time to browse the forums on a second monitor.

There is nothing that wrong with mythic+, it offers non raiders a method of gearing up.

Well, kills the game for me, only part now I like, I am an old CE raider. Got totally burnt out from it and will not raid again. As for PvP, you can stick that, Absolutely hate it. All my personal likes and dislikes, so why push your views on others.
The whole idea of wow is that it is a huge world, and people can do what they enjoy, be it playing the AH, gathering cosmetic, raining, PvP. etc. I personally have no interest in how my toon looks. Just pushing keys, and getting gear. SO just let peeps play what they like, the reason wow is dead, is cause they make peeps do what they don’t want to.

I disagree that m+ is community breaking.

I have a friends list full of people I run keys with, many of which I met through pugging keys.

I have friends who I met through my raid who no longer raid with me for various reasons, but I still have on myf rineds list and we run keyss all the time.

I’m in several communities for m+, a couple discords…

So claiming that m+ is “destroying the community” is a flat out lie. maybe the problem you have is that YOU aren’t putting in any effort to the community, so you are getting nothing back.

It it weren’t for M+ I’d prob quit lol. it sucks not having accessible gear. Good thing is ANYONE can participate in 5man content, on their own time, any time they want.

roflmao thinking 18k posts over the course of like two years is a lot lololol what a terrible retort

And it also helps that the content is actually fast-paced and exciting…completely the opposite of raiding.

OP’s issue with M+ is that more than likely has no one to do it with, has to deal with the garbage LFG & obsessed elitists. Something i STRONGLY sympathize with and i can’t blame him for feeling this way towards M+. It’s only after he starts actually doing runs we get his truest opinion

@OP im willing to play with you if you wish btw! i know your pain… Idc if you’re ‘bad’ ill happily take you in and we can learn together!

I have two RL friends who basically are mythic+ “rats”, it is all they do. I have tried to get them into raids with my guild when we have openings but they are content to just stick in their preferred gaming lane. Without mythic+, I am sure they would have quit by now.

Yea, bring back challenge modes!

You know, people said it wasn’t possible for someone to make a worse take than me on the forums, but I think you proved them wrong.

I think M+ is toxic, but it’s a part of the game now. I’d rather they focus on adding other parts of the game for more players.

While I’m guilty of using this reference too, I don’t get it.

Why do we use this as a derogatory term when these are the most loyal and loving creatures on our unfortunate planet?

Apologies, I tend to overthink many things…

Carry on.

Nah.

If anything we need to remove gear from raids.

Leave gear as it is and just don’t do the content you don’t want to, problem solved.

Hate to break it to you, but M+ is what saved wow from being extinct today.

Honestly they should make Raid cosmetic only and m+ be the end content.

Who in their right minds want to spend 3 months fighting 1 npc hours a night / week

Thanks for posting this original and thought provoking idea. While many repost the same old ideas you came up with something new.

I don’t have much to add except that I think that if Blizzard did this, we would get a much better idea of how many players actually enjoy M+ and how many run it simply because it’s far and away the best way to gear up. My prediction is that M+'s popularity would absolutely crater.

Yeah WFH is a massive post count booster.

Well to be fair, that would probably be true for all content. You think raiders would continue to smash their heads into raids if there were no actual gear upgrades?
