Modifiers don't work in War Within beta (Razer accessory)

What’s crazy is when this issue came up on beta many of us reported it and they pushed a fix and we all tested fix and fix worked.

I’m now playing live and fix still works. so it’s tough to figure out why all of you have issues with many of us do not. I am using tons of shift modifier binds and they work fine. I use
shift mouse whele up
shift mouse wheel down
shift middle click
shift 0

all work in beta and retail live.

one theory we’re running is it is just that many of you missed the macOS prompt for permission for input monitoring. or clicked deny. open system settings, go to security and privacy, go to input monitoring and set world of warcraft to enabled might fix it for you. alternatively going to accessibility and doing same thing also might work. either permission should let wow read modifier keys. that’s my best guess of issue for those who still have problems.

EDIT, actually testing internally nope i still can’t reproduce issue even if i DENY access to accessiblity and input monitoring.

i have all those permissions already set, issue still persists. this has been broken in beta for weeks, and now live since prepatch.

edit for more clarity: my keyboard works with modifiers, my mouse buttons do not including scroll wheel.

Same here, still persists for me. Cannot use shift modifier…

Tested with Logitech and does the same.

Was having the same issue. Found this fix from reddit posted in another thread. Worked great for me.

Try Karabiner Elements software, my naga worked immediately with the shift / ctrl mods upon install

I tried that (MacOS 14.5, M2 Mini) and it had no impact. fwiw.

guys this is for a diff issue affecting beta that was already fixed. there is a diff thread with live tracking AND blue responses that should be used for the diff issue (that’s ironically the same issue but diff cause). and the posts in that already have confirmation it’s fixed in next update though.

Unfortunately since fix didn’t get pushed out friday it likely won’t appear until monday at earliest. in meantime, a few work arounds have been posted that basically involve using 3rd party software that basically changes razor input type to one wow will recognize.
