HEY, Moderators, POST MADE IN SPAM MODERATORS PLEASE COULD YOU PLEASE TAKE IT DOWN?
it’s an annoying healing class. From the short heal range (and even shorter Sleepwalk range), which requires you to play in a dangerous way (just begging to be cc’d), to the fact that one of our main spells pulls you into cc range of enemy, to glitchy spells like Rescue (which sorta bug out if the person you’re trying to rescue is rooted, to where you have to hit escape, retarget, and try again, because otherwise if you try to cast another heal, it still thinks you’re trying to cast Rescue, and you’ll end up just standing there doing nothing), to other glitchy spells like Verdant Embrance which won’t even heal if you get rooted or knockback in some way midflight (like with the monk’s Ring of Peace spell), to spells like Emerald Communion which will waste all its heal on a cycloned target because “it’s the lowest health target”, or even heal the enemy if you get mindcontrolled. I’m also never seen a class so gimped by a ROOT. Having to waste a cd and dispell on a root, just so you can heal normally. Even the fact that most of our spells have a travel time (Living Flame, Spirit Blossom, Flight spells, Verdant Embrace
Solo shuffle has been absolutely awful for me. Just non-stop being cc’d, and only one reliable cc (sleepwalk. Deep breath really doesn’t count it’s on too long a cd, and misses a lot anyways since people move out of the way of it easily.
I’ve just never seen a healing class with so much wrong with it.
I’m not pvping this expansion but this tier set feels like garbage in comparison to season 1. S1’s instant living flames procs and the correlation with empowered spells increasing crits for Reversion feels like it all should be part of the tool kit and sheds a light on how a more refined sense of choice is missing from our talent trees.
Like we have several talents going into improving Dream Breath, then our s2 tier set improves Dream Breath? We have WAY too many talents that improve the most useless ability, Emerald Blossom, these could instead be talents that bring us genuinely useful talents/gameplay like the s1 tier abilities.
Edits for clarity
I like this seasons 2 set more than last seasons 2 and 4 set. ![]()
It objectively provides less utility and damage, but has more healing throughput. Glad you like it but it adds literally nothing to gameplay.
Neither set bonus provides utility
I consider the instant procs and 25% increased crit for reversions a form of utility. I think you realize that. Are you ever not contrarian?

The 4 set doesn’t really feel worth since it takes 6 empowers to trigger in pvp. The 2 set though is just such a huge throughput increase, especially when combined with echo. Compared to last seasons set bonus, where the 2 set was whatever since your main healing via reversion is golden hour and grace period. The 4 set was good as it provided spot healing that the spec lacks, and could also be used for damage, pairing well with leaping flames. It was nice because it let you pump damage out for free and made the rotation feel better by filling in downtime between empowers.
Last seasons tier provided more damage and generally felt better rotationally, whereas this seasons tier provides more healing. But damage and healing aren’t utility. This isn’t even talking about pve where the general rotation and build changed completely with tier swaps.
Last seasons provided options for player engagement, not direct throughput, therefore I categorically defaulted to utility. The player has a choice. The procs could happen and if you didnt engage, by either using the Livings Flames procs or making the choice of how/where to stack your Reversions either nothing happens or things fall flat.
Whatever category you want to put that in. Player engagement. But it wasn’t directly healing or damage throughput, it was how you used it that made it thus. This season you just do your normal thing and its bigger numbers. Boring. No player engagement, which feels awful when last season’s was interactive and rewarding.
The 4 set provides the same agency by proccing essence burst, but in a way that’s more controllable and less prone to bad rng.
Agency? Yes you are certainly free to spend that extra Essence Burst as you see fit. Certainly engaging, emergent gameplay at your finger tips. Except, no, it’s extraordinarily lackluster.
I don’t think it’s that bad, but yeah last seasons 4 set feels better than this seasons 4 set. I think a lot of it comes down to essence burst as a mechanic feeling pretty underwhelming for preservation. Blossom feels bad to press, and echo does pretty much nothing by itself. You need the essence bursts in raid when trying to echo so many people, but in pvp and m+ it’s value drops a lot.
An echod rank 1 dream breath, or echod bloom with the hot often lets you just greed trinket and sit a cyclone. Last seasons tier did nothing while you were in cyclone.
Clone and root beam are inherently strong against evoker. Doesn’t change the fact that this seasons tier does more to help against clone than last seasons.
