I hate fighting “spinners” that spin super fast and knock you back like five times in a row…especially turtles and the princess in Mara.
What mobs do you hate fighting?

I don’t know if they still have it, but there’s a Satyr clan in ashenvale that applies (at least prior to cata) a curse that stuns you for 3 seconds or so, can proc at any time and lasts 3 minutes, I once got stunned four times back to back, when fighting another Satyr…it didnt end well lol.
Mobs that spawn a clone/reflection of myself. It’s hard to kill something so beautiful.
It makes you… furious?
truly a vicious cycle
The mobs in Freehold that give you the gnomish punt experience. So…fun. Also Master Engineer Telonicus…1 minute of magical fun time stun time.
Any thing that has shadowstep out in the world… I’m just trying to do my quest here man, I don’t wanna think and position and stuff. I wanna boop you with a simple rotation and watch something on the other screen. Or worse yet, those raptors that leap INTO your hitbox, not up to you, but inside of you… and then they go randomly any way around you from there.
Yeah, I hate any form of knock-back mechanic. To compensate, I find a corner or wall to back into, thus negating it.
Stormwind vision guards. They have a shield and a big range strike.
The Diseased Lashers in Underrot. They cast “Decaying Mind,” which is a disease (Druids can’t dispel diseases, and neither can resto shammies), and I never stop being shocked by how many people who’ve done this dungeon a hundred times still don’t know how the debuff works or, for that matter, that “dispels” are different between the classes.
Decaying Mind is a 30-second disease, and it’s a total stun that reduces incoming heals by 50%. The ONLY way my druid can get it off of someone is to heal the person to full, which ends both the soak and the stun.
This thing stuns people in the middle of very dangerous trash pulls, and given that it’s a 50% healing debuff, I have to heal a player to full in high damage–often with an affix on top.
Basically, if you get this thing at the wrong time, you’re gonna die, and there will be nothing that your shaman or druid can do for you. You’ll get one-shot by a four-stack of volcano or you’ll be killed in the green Fetid Maggot cone. Something. If you have an excellent tank who sees it happen or a group on comms communicating well, it might be possible to pull the trash away from the stunned person, but in pugs, this isn’t likely to happen fast enough to save the unfortunate afflicted player.
The simple expedient of interrupting the cast keeps this tragedy at bay, and most people know to do that by this point in the expansion. Still. It still happens.
Having healed this dungeon (it’s actually my favorite) on both shammy and druid, I always get this from the DPS who didn’t interrupt it in the first place (when I was on my shammy, I routinely had the highest interrupt count in every dungeon…so yes, I helped when I could):
DPS: Uh, are you going to dispel this stun?
Me: I can’t. I have to heal you to 100% to get it off, and right now, I’m barely keeping you alive because you’re stunned in front of a Fetid Maggot spray. Honestly, you have no idea how amazing I am at my job right now that you lived through that.
DPS: OMG, just dispel it! What’s wrong with you?
Sigh.
Mobs whose AOE is too big to get out of in the time allotted.
Like that one in the Drag before Garona.
Murlocs. They’re so fast and slippery and always dash off before they croak to get two or three or ten of their buddies.
I hate teeming + fortified week in Atal’Dazar.
and in Motherlode
So I play a demon hunter but also a ret paladin. I was doing underrot with my paladin when the tank pulled…3?4? Of those mobs and they proceeded to stun at least two people because me and the healer are the only two who interrupt. So I’m cleansing as well, no problem cause ret, but then I get the debuff. I bubble it off, cause no problem, but then I get it again. By this time, the tank and the one of the dps has it too, so three of us. Healer is trying to overheal me so that I can cleanse, while the other ret paladin isn’t cleansing anyone or interrupting.
Group wants to blame healer, not the dps for having literally zero interrupts (aside from me) or the tank for also having zero interrupts, for not dispelling. Healer links interrupts and dispels, says she can’t dispel diseases and that the other ret needed to be dispelling like I was. Ret reply was “I can’t dispel diseases wtf I’m not a healer”. With me in there. Dispelling diseases. Right in front of him. +8 key that me and the healer both left after the tank pulled the same amount again, got the disease on me and him, and says “wtf healer dispel me”.
This has been story time by captain pug.
Oh, yeah. They always do.
Thank you for sharing your trauma with me. I feel so validated. /sad sniffle
When your riding your mount and you pass through a pack of them and they dismount you, and daze you to 50% movement speed.
Those mobs are the worst, and it’s never only one. Always a pack of three or more
As a Demo Lock main I hate anything I can’t stun, since I have no interrupt…
Fiancé plays a resto shaman. She gets an easy ride most of the time because just one competent dps that interrupts and uses stuns/ccs effectively can usually carry the dungeon, but sometimes. Sometimes we get underrot. Or tol dagor.
Or tol dagor.
Don’t speak its name. Just don’t.
That dungeon is the interrupt check of the expansion. It really is. If you have a group that knows what to interrupt and actually does it–and knows how to move barrels–that dungeon is easy. If you don’t, it is a freaking nightmare. It’s my living nightmare.
