Mobs healing after Spore explodes!

What the hell, why every time there is something that really works well you Bliz nerf it to the point of being absolute trash, revert changes to spores please and leave things alone when they actually work.

They literally made the fungal delves so much worse

Yeah, they apparently didn’t like spores dealing damage to enemies so they seem to have made them ā€˜immune’ in the jankest way possible. Spores do still apply a DoT as well, but that effect is so ineffective that spores are basically only a hazard to players now.

It especially stings because they specifically hyped up spores in one of their posts talking about delve changes for S2. I wouldn’t have minded how Fungal Folly and Mycomancer Cavern are now wall-to-wall spores if they could still be used to bring the enemies down faster, but without that aspect this design change just makes them even more annoying to deal with.

It’s now the most annoying Delve.

I also died like an idiot to 2 spores exploding on either side because the area apparently is bigger than the circle.

So now not only am I not running Delves as a healer with tank Brann, but I am also skipping both underwater and fungus Delves. I get the feeling the devs don’t actually want people to run Delves. Kind of weird since they keep hyping them up. But I expect odd, erratic, irrational behavior from such small, indy game developers.

Fungal Folly isn’t bad but Mycomancer Cavern is stuffed to the brim.

It really does feel like their balance changes this patch were ā€œwhat things did players most enjoy in delves and how can we break them in the dumbest ways possibleā€

Sporebits were great in S1. They didn’t need to be changed, at all.

it’s not even worth bothering with anymore imo. i zoned in, cleared the first two platforms, then left.

one change i was happy for is that they don’t start chasing you down as soon you enter the radius that was needed fixed

Sporebombs were fun but stupidly OP especially if you weren’t a left of bell curve and could kite in/around them to basically make every pull free save for the last boss.

And Blizzard absolutely did listen to feedback in positive ways because the underwater delves, which have always been the most cried about delve, both got stories where you get a diving suit that removes the breathing mechanic entirely (and 1 you even replace the air meter with a harpoon that uses your stored air to stun a mob for 10 seconds and do big damage to it). I’m also not sure but it ā€œfeelsā€ like they nerfed the HP and maybe even the number of tricksters too (by far the worst mob you have to contend with in those delves other than sharks which are largely avoidable).

Who were they listening to there? The sixteen people who can’t afford water breathing potions?

There’s spores ALL OVER THE PLACE and you can’t pull them then blow them up now. I was doing one last night and holy crap man. The entire subsection of the delve was covered in spores. It made trying to gather the things on the floor a royal pain because the spores would sometimes respawn midway through.

i tried an underwater delve last night (i think the one down the big hole in the arathi zone?) and the guy gave me some kind of boots that would give me a rocket/stomp combo attack, like the jetpack on siren isle, but the stomp didn’t work, i just floated down slowly. And I got quickly sick of staying near the air bubbles so equipped my waterbreathing ring and just ate the minor dps loss so i could focus on mob positioning with aoe’s

it was a middling dungeon at best, but at least it only took like 15 mins

good to know the spores don’t damage enemies, i was trying to use them that way yesterday. It’s not too hard to step out of them at the last second but the delves where you have to click quest items next to spores sure makes the timing closer than i’d like

they respawn too?!?!? jfc

Yeah if you remember the platforms in mycomancer might have 2 or 3 spores… there’s one section where you’re collecting packs on the ground now and there might be 20. They’re fixed positions, and you have to sit in them to force them to explode and THEN you can loot. It’s beyond ridiculous.

Basically I just run in and have to keep side stepping as I’m killing mobs because there’s a ton of spores. Might have to dodge the same spore more than once because it respawns. Then afterwards you go to pick up whatever item you might be on (packs, pumpkins, mislaid stuff, etc) and you might have to stop to clear one or more spores. You can’t just tap them and have them all come to you clear the place like before.

Tbf, people hated how spores functioned in S1, well some did so I guess Blizzard listened.

So here we are. :woman_shrugging:

Yeah I am pretty sure they got a whole lot of feedback from the 10-15 people who weren’t using them to their advantage so they made it all much, MUCH worse.

I did Myro yesterday, I do not relish the thought of doing it again anytime soon lol. Fungal feels more tolerable imo.

Bad people hated it. Some of us enjoyed speed clearing delves doing big sporebomb pulls.

Now they’re just tedious.
