Mobility melee dps

I’m trying to decide between a monk and a shaman for melee DPS I didn’t list Druids because I like to see my transmogs. Aside from the normal grouping and raids I plan to spend time in battlegrounds and I’ve been testing both of these two classes and they both seem fun to me, but I’d like to focus on one and can’t seem to make a decision so I can go farm the transmogs that I need opinions are welcome to help me decide

Monk has better transmogs imo.

Especially if you farm MOP content.

Brewmaster has been really nice to have for things like face rolling open world and solo content. I found my enh shaman a little squishy while leveling but I’ve been told my Mythic players that it does fine at top level content.

Off specs usually help me decide, like would you rather have a tank off spec or a ranged dps to switch to?

I personally prefer monk over shaman, and I’ve played both.

What’s a useful profession? Being that I’m planning to transmog hunt is leather working worth the trouble?

Shaman get to use their weapons during combat, not sure Monks get to do that.

Survival hunter has a lot of mobility going on for it.

I like rogue class but have always sucked at the class. My fingers seem to turn into thumbs. :joy:

monk is probably unequivocally the more flexible class here, not only do you get to tank but monk is probably the #1 most mobile class in the game. going from monk tanking to dk tanking really made me miss being able to reposition on a dime and ignore a lot of movement/displacement mechanics

but also

i may be biased, but this dude is smoking crack

all of monk’s good transmogs are just leather from other leather classes. there’s like one monk-specific mog that actually looks decent (this coming from a monk main for 7 expansions who still hasnt found a transmog that satisfies him)

Mail is the most undercooked armor type, class specific or no. Having spent years with only Shaman and Hunter as candidates, it is wildly neglected.

Monks also get superior weapon options.

If fashion matters to you, Monk wins handedly.
