Mobility for warlocks

Why is warlock the only class that has to spend 3 points to keep up with a group of high mobility classes yet can still end up killing themselves from the ticks of the burning rush? There isn’t even fire damage on people that run across our burning rush, just us entering combat at half or lower health.

Kinda fits with the great power at great sacrifice theme they’ve always had.

Those high mobility classes are pretty much all melee.

Other classes’ speed boosts are limited duration and have cooldowns. Warlocks get to just go and go and go as long as their health holds out. Pros and cons. Everyone has them.

Warlocks never learned Stop, Drop, and Roll.

Dying to burning rush is kind of like a Darwinian filter. But I do agree that it should be baseline and not require several talent points.

Not sure about any of that, but I really wish Blizzard would make Warlocks insanely fun to play. So sick and tired of my raid not having someone main one because 1-2 of their specs at any given time are a nonfunctional mess or 1-2 of their specs at any given time are just boring as hell.

I’ve tried… I’ve really tried. Class is so unfun to play in my honest opinion.

Either that or give Summoning the Bloodlust Treatment so we don’t have to have at least one.

I think it’s kinda funny that the people who crapped all over demo in BFA were playing it in SL and DF, when the playstyle of the spec was virtually unchanged.

By comparison, I get it.

Demonology was the only spec I found somewhat enjoyable. Just flood the map with demons. Sadly, it’s not really the class fantasy I like to immerse myself in, but it was OK.
Destro… I don’t really know how to describe it. Overdesigned comes to mind. Whatever happened to Warlocks just setting everything on fire including themselves? That was fun and had a strong identity.
And then there’s Affliction. Holy hell.
Holy. Fluffing. Hell.
That is a spec.

All three specs are a blast to play….

No offense but as an Evoker I think I have to spend 3-4 talents into my mobility… so you’re not the only class.

Yes, I suppose I shouldn’t have dared to make a statement that’s a personal opinion without making sure everyone knows I’m not speaking for everyone.

Let’s try this: “I personally do not have fun playing any Warlock spec. YMMV.”

Weirdly enough, it was the first time the spec actually played like it was described in the original World of Warcraft booklet that came with the game. I find modern demo to be the closest they’ve ever come to that.

It’s more of. Probably shouldn’t blame your guild not being able to find a warlock on the class being unfun as it’s one of the most played classes.

That’s fine. Probably shouldn’t use your personal experience with the class as the excuse for your guild not being able to find one

For massive defensive and utility power, you lose mobility and vice versa.

Evoker has crap defensive but huge mobility. Paladin has massive defensive, but low mobility.

i want hellfire back

My warlock will always be demo, just like my rogue will always be combat, my druid will always be kitties, my dk will always be frost. All the other specs for those classes are IMHO crap. But everyone is going to have a personal preference, even the CE raiders (but they have to suck it up and play the current meta). :hear_no_evil::speak_no_evil::see_no_evil:

I really enjoyed old Destro back in the MoP days. Kil’jaeden’s Cunning should never have been removed. Honestly I wish all casters could move while casting.
