Mobile Authenticator App asking me to use battle.net

I log in, check phone to approve the log in, and get a screen saying:

“Battle.net” wants to Use “battle.net” to Sign In
This allows the app and teh website to share information about you.

I have absolutely no idea what this means, or what is trying to happen. I have never had an issue before signing in. Can anyone explain what’s going on here?

They rolled the functionality of the mobile authenticator app into the battlenet app, so you need to switch over to it.

Yeah, I did that a year or so ago. I am wondering why it’s asking for it now.
