Because this really does need fixed and to be honest not even sure why it made it into the release.

It’s like this entire thing they have been working towards was just totally removed with this patch.

Also, this has been reported on the beta about ten thousand times over the last few months.
I guess it’s “intended.”

This is not true. Mob and even cross faction tagging does work but there is a 5 target limit. People are trying to realm hop and be in raid groups so mobs go gray in seconds as people just spam AOE
Can’t let us just farm these BOA tokens too quick after all…

I don’t know if it’s purposely done or just a blunder.
Nothing turns people off faster than frustration on a time sensitive event.
They will get backlash and they will deserve it

I’m defending the fact mob tagging does work including cross faction tagging. Unless it literally changed minutes ago, I was with an opposite faction paladin on an alt killing mobs in Ungoro with them and both of us were looting. Joined a raid group claiming “boss is up” (a lie) and noticed gray mobs abound even when the only people camping were my own raid members.
Not defending Blizzard here. Why they just can’t let the gear/stuff just drop so people won’t feel the need to try and game the system is beyond me. This should be fun and it just isn’t. The only nice thing I can say, so far anyway, is at least the tokens are BOA so no need to do this on multiple alts vs 1 just good at tagging.

Primeval Essence. Get it from any of the mobs as you wait out the boss spawns. You can use them to buy the 252 FOMO appearance pieces (can also get the pieces randomly doing the invasions). I was initially planning to do the event on 4 toons to get all the FOMO stuff, but now it’s just 1 that has a spammable instant cast no travel time tag and AOE spam. I’ll just mail the essences to alts and let them buy the pieces and be done.
To be fair, Blizzard did end up speeding up the ICC bosses partway through the SL pre patch. I expect after a few days, when participation in this nosedives, they’ll make things a bit easier/palpable.

I think you’re just running into the group mob tagging function. If one player in a party of 5 (or raid larger) tags a mob, it immediately greys out. It’s why you have those 2x4 farms. Two parties of 4 people each so a person from each party can tag a mob and all 8 of the party in each party can loot it.
Druid actually. Moon/Sunfire and bear thrash. Hunter has travel time on shots.
Edit - Priest would also work well too. Better than druid even. Mind sear + SW:P with Mind sear > thrash/swipe. Druid dreamgrove though lets you get to Ferelas which is quick to barrens since Alliance don’t get a short way there.

This really doews suck, like why 8. Why not 10 so at least 2 groups could get tags!
There shouldn’t be a tag limit. This one foot in one out approach is annoying. We either share tags or we don’t. Stop teasing us and testing our patience with such trite restrictions
