Anyways… it still works, you probably just didn’t do it right? You need a total of 3 accounts, or a 2nd account, and one additional player doing the killing. The killing character must be a warlock/hunter, with the pet doing all the damage.

The people saying it doesnt either are not doing it right or outright lying hoping it doesnt get changed to become bannable like it was in vanilla TBC (doesnt jsut work with hunters and locks there is another way with paladins)

Apparently it’s been patched out since August of last year.
3 accounts? doesn’t the lowbie tag it and then the higher up sends the pet to attack? also if this is bannable then the streamer would have been banned the other month when he posted the video announcing he had the WORLD RECORD for fastest 1-60.
Pretty sure you’re not gonna get in trouble for it if blizzard wont do anything against the guy who did it and holds the record because of it.
no that was different tagging this is the one we currently have now and the new one introduced in TBC

Well, truthfully, I don’t see it as that different that dungeons boosts either way.
Yeah don’t you just stay out of the group when the person you’re boosting tags them up you just send your pet in to kill a mob but you as the hunter who no damage?

I don’t know it still feels like it’s probably going to be slow because you have to remember even if it’s twice as fast you’re using two people’s time to do it.
It’s not like dungeon boosting where it’s much faster but it works for 4 other players.

You can also level from 48-60 very easily with this method. A level 48 mob is green to a 60. When both characters would get XP from a mob, the tagging character always gets full XP. They are not patching this out, and you do not want them to. Otherwise people from BOTH factions can grief your XP by killing the quest mobs you tag, dropping your share to near zero.
But at the same time, if you have one player tagging and an entire raid team behind him killing the tags, you could hit world first 70. Because that’s exactly how that happened.
It was not, and this action in both Vanilla and TBC resulted in massively reduced XP, if not full reduction of XP. Only in very early Vanilla did XP get granted in full.
Idk, I remember seeing people do this with Elite mobs early on in P1-P2. That’s how all these guilds boosted their own Ony/Nef reset priests before Mara, ZG & Strat boosting become a thing. World buffs…
