Mob tagging bug with Death Coil

There is a definite bug being exploited by warlocks to farm Silithid Carapace Fragments. It’s been discovered that Death Coil will take precedence and lock a tag vs all other classes if performed in the same spell batching window.

Our guild has confirmed with a Raid of 30 players with pings ranging from 10ms to 80ms, all using our mousewheel targeting macro’s. Our success rate of beating the death coil locks for tags is 0% in over 100 tries.
If we bring in a warlock and they death coil, it becomes instantly 50/50.

This is being heavily abused throughout Silithus, allowing a single warlock to lock down the fast spawning burrowers and workers, even against full raids vying for the tag.

The discord channels have lit up with this news and it’s spreading. Every burrower/worker spawn is now camped by warlocks who only have a chance against each other. This is not in the spirit of fair play and they’re knowingly exploiting a bug in the code.

Working as intended, the will not do anything about this.

Yall do know that that skill has a 2 min CD right… so once every 2 min someone has a 50/50 shot at first tag… don’t see how that is really an issue… Went questing in the hives the other day with some guildies and rather then use that skill just set my imp to aggressive…he was attacking before the mob spawned in…that is how you get first tags…lol

If they try to fix this minor issue, it will probably break 10 other things. Not worth it.
