How is this post still going? This troll posts about how they get harassed in game every other day. They literally do it just for attention. People need to stop feeding them. Just flag and move on.
Well time to start using that emote.
People like the OP, not sure if they are trolling but either way are the reason we cannot have nice things in games.
Oh look, a snowflake crying to get something they don’t like removed from existence. How refreshing… you never see that these days.
Imagine rolling the “hot” race then complaining about it.
is it ok to use the moaning suggestively emote when you are running things solo?
If it’s removed, then people can just type “/e moans suggestively”.
Because there are quite literally tools already in place to deal with this situation and instead of using said tools they would rather things just be removed.
And quite literally they could have stopped this with in game options if they choose too but would rather see something that’s been in game for 15 years removed instead. Where does the triggering stop? /lick? /spit? /e? All of chats removal?
It’s one thing if someone is a victim to something that they can’t control, it’s another thing when someone is a victim to something they choose not to actually do anything about and instead demand things be removed because they just can’t be bothered. Especially over something as dumb as this…
Seriously, what’s next? Should sitting be removed from warmode and pvp because someone tbagged another player and it ruffled them? It’s and emote, there are already ways to handle it that other posters before me have suggested, people need to stop trying to get things removed from they game because they would rather see things removed rather than use pre-existing tools that exist for this very issue.
im pretty sure you can /ignore members of the opposite faction to silence this as well.
can the opposite faction hear voice emotes?
So your justification for people being awful on the internet is basically “people are awful, get used to it?”
You then took the additional step of calling the person the problem, not the emote.
Ouch.
How about, instead of faulting the person, you discuss the actual topic? It adds to the actual issue at hand instead of the “you have no right to complain, your complaint is illegitimate” dialogue.
It’s far too easy to dismiss someone out of hand when you don’t agree. It takes far more fortitude and wisdom to sit down and have a real conversation. We’re stuck in this “I’m right, you’re wrong, right vs left, you don’t believe what I do so I don’t care what you have to say” rut right now in the US.
Time to come together and listen to each other instead, I think.
Using the word “triggered” is just another way to deflect from having a conversation about something you disagree with.
You get to use the word and all discussion about the topic goes away as you dismiss whomever and whatever the conversation was about.
Your opinion is that this take on the emote is “dumb,” who’s to say you’re right or wrong? It’s just an opinion.
How about offering answers instead of complaining about the complaint? For example, using ignore or turning off emotes.
No need to be this way.
(Apologies for not posting on Silvercloud, as she was recently moved and I can no longer post on her.)
This is flawed
If you are RPing somewhere, like SW or IF, you are giving an open statement to everyone else that you are RPing. It’s an open world and anyone can join.
If you want to be alone while RPing, do so in party/raid chat, go to a secluded area, or a Garrison/phased area.
Just fly away or log off for a bit. They won’t follow.
No and I didn’t say that, but what I did say is if you expect to find a safe space on the internet, you are looking in the wrong place - a vast landscape with different age groups, cultures, beliefs where one thing that is offensive to one culture, is not to another. An example of that would be the C word which is very common in EU and very offensive in US. In my opinion, you took a lot of ‘poetic license’ in your interpretation of my response.
- There are things in the public square that are subject to personal opinion as to what is bad. Just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean it should be taken away from someone else.
- If you have an issue with something in the public square, a TV show you don’t like, a particular word or phrase, it’s up to you to make a decision to change the channel.
- In the event that someone is hassling you (which is wrong) then utilize the in game tools to deal with it (report them, ignore them)
- It was piggy backed on your response to Byucknah who I happened to agree with and will add on to his that in my opinion there has to be a certain amount of choice in the public square, personal responsibility if you don’t like something to move away from it rather than taking it away from all. I would like to ban perfume of any kind in all closed areas, I don’t like it and am allergic to it. Should we ban perfume?
I am also not sure how you moved on to the rest of your supposition or how it somehow moved to politics and I am going to question if you read my response.
OP, why do you insist on trying to make yourself a victim every week? This is a game with cartoon characters, no one can REALLY do anything to your cartoon.
I did read your response, I just didn’t agree with it.
In my opinion, you took a lot of “poetic license” with your response.
In any case, my whole point was that it’s not necessary to be abrasive. We can treat each other better simply by offering suggestions.
Just because everyone else is nasty on the internet, doesn’t mean we have to be.
Nathanos Blightcaller slowly rub his own nipples and moan suggestively at the player character after turning in the quest.
No.
And oh, I forgot, please bring back the wolf whistle.
You say trolling but there is a whole section of society which is perpetually offended about everything. It’s the reason site like the onion are no more. Reality is way weirder than comedy.
