It’s an assumption but he’s not wrong.
Most people who arena are doing it for quick points for PvE gear.
Why there is always a ton of people pvping in the beginning of the season for new gear then they fall off a cliff

I was a 2100-2300 rated player back in the day and when I watch my friends playing at 1700 rating now, the plays and players look as good or better than what I remember 2200 being like.
The oce brackets are even more deflated as well.
That hasn’t been my experience. Most people i know play arena just because they enjoy it. To each their own though i guess.
played 10 games of 1500 cr 5s yesterday to help a friend get 600ish points for his fresh druid
faced a 1900 cr team over and over that got 2 points for beating us
i think they won all games against us,but imagine if they lost
terrible for both of our teams
cuz tbc 3s is busted rmp is godlike
It always has been. It’s been incredibly strong in every season from TBC to whatever season SL is in now. It is beatable though, and can be countered pretty hard by KFC and comps like that.
I’m genuinely surprised people play/enjoy Arenas in this expansion. I guess it’s better than nothing? But, damn, thats some serious masochism.
it’s the classes and their kits that still make sense that make TBC arena so fun. As the expansions persist into the future they are more and more ridiculous in terms of mobility of each class and “shield wall” buttons that are typically usable while in CC that IMO was a very poor decision. TBC started that mess for sure, but at least it’s not over the top like what is coming next.
not saying later incarnations of Arena aren’t fun, some are straight up amazing and fun, but TBC is something special because the mechanisms of the classes are still really unique. It’s a shame some classes ans spec in TBC are in need of either buffs or nerfs, but that could also be said about any version of wow
I think this “10 games a week” thing goes up to like 1800. I only do 10 games a week with zero pvp gear but trinket and my friend aswell and we are at 1700 and there is also alot of full pve heroes. We only do it for points not for the joy of it, having spells resist due to no spellpen and being dead on some openers due to pve gear is just as fun as falling off the aldor elevator.
Though I chose to go in there like that, yet thats probably the only reason pve players do it… they hope for weapon ratings to be cut end of season and point requirements cut in half to then buy these incase they were unlucky as secure choice for next phase.
would you be more inclined to Arena if gear and weapons were easier to obtain?
say for example it took 5 or 6 weeks for all 5 Pcs of PvP armor at your rating and maybe 2 or 3 weeks for weapon(s)?
if you could get full gear and weapons would you play arena more?
Dont think there is anything you could do for 10 games a week players. If its actual pvpers who try to become better and such and would have weapons at lets say 1650 they would probably keep on going because thats easily reachable… however the point requirement is quite high for just one weapon.
nothing is more fun than a 2s mirror match where you outplay them
Ofc it’s diceroll city so most of the time u just win off a big resist or something lol
ohi, i know that pain all too well.
how about yourself tho? would you or your friends be more interested if acquiring a pvp set and weapons was easier?
