Just wondering.
What does respect your time mean?
I’ve seen people use this expression on the forums here and there… care to elaborate?
I mean I think Hardcore respects my time more than any other gamemode. Every moment of leveling is fun instead of being a chore due to the risk of death. Also if you die you can transfer that toon to an era server so it’s not like you lose them unless you choose to delete.
I’d imagine any Korean MMO would fall in that list considering they are some of the grindiest MMOs out there.
Black Desert comes to mind.
If you see it as Time = Progress, then yes, Hardcore absolutely does NOT respect your time.
You WILL lose progress that’s difficult to recuperate, if not impossible depending on circumstances in your life, like extra hours at work or an inconvenient schedule that makes it hard to raid.
But if you see things as Time = Fun then Hardcore can’t be beat. You can hoard gold on your alts to make going again easier, but the hour-by-hour gameplay is fantastic because the threat of permanent death makes what you have all more meaningful.
This isn’t really a fluke, since Diablo Hardcore has a similar feeling and even games like Counter-Strike show that your actions have weight when there is a penalty on death.
Every single Gacha MMO.
Also If you’re playing Hardcore you aren’t playing for your time, you’re playing for the goal of the challenge.
If your concerned about dying for any reason in HC, its simply not for you, there is nothing wrong with that.
This.
I’m on my second account for just Hardcore WoW for alliance side. No other game mode ever convinced me to sub two accounts.
It’s not supposed to respect your time, that’s why you lose everything when you die, it’s what you signed up for.
How are people still whining about this?
