Please make lust baseline/cast without a pet active for MM. thank you.
Im only playing sv, is it that hard to manage a pet or his lone wolf really a must have in terms of perfomance/dmg ?
Also you lose a stun, that can be handy, no problem here ?
Let’s be real, having a pet out to lust and then to dismiss it, really isn’t costing you much in DPS and with good macros it can be a one button affair…
Silly request.
That’s my two cents.
you are losing at bare minimum 3-4 seconds of dps and that’s if RNG doesn’t keep screwing you over by putting an affix under you, having to move because there is something being cast under you or any other instant ability/thing that will interrupt dismissing your pet. It literally makes no sense to have to have the pet out to cast lust since every single other class and spec that can cast it can do so freely. Imagine any other class having to spend 3 seconds casting (dismissing our pet) without being interrupted or moving or otherwise sacrifice 10% of your damage, just to cast an ability that multiple other classes have as a baseline lol. It’s just unnecessary. Dismissing pets should be instant just like summoning them are.
Lone Wolf is a flat 10% damage boost and skipping it for a pet is something like 6% difference.
For MM to lust/hero the thing is to start casting dismiss pet and then hit lust/hero at the last second possible so the pet is dismissed but lust/hero still goes off, then you need to wait like 15 seconds for the lone wolf buff to get back to a full 10%.
Losing intimidation is hardly an issue with hunter’s toolkit of freezing trap, scatter shot, binding shot, etc.
100% this is a no brainer, Blizzard needs to stop making nonsensical design decisions like this.
Not just for MM, hero should be a core hunter ability - not tied to a pet - for ALL specs.
I think they should just get rid of lone wolf entirely.
A simple change would be to have the command pet ability be the last pet you had out. Doesnt marks revert to tenacity after you dismiss a pet?
Nah lone wolf is such a part of the elvish ranger fantasy. It should have been an option from a day one. Pets are great but they aren’t 100% what makes the hunter fantasy imo.
Sure. But what’s not part of the fantasy is having all the benefits of the pet with the pet.
It’s supposed to be a trade-off, not a no-brainer. Want the extra damage and the freedom to not have to worry about your dumb, Kleenex pet? Sorry, you’re going to lose some perks.
If lust is such a mandatory and is the reason classes get brought to content, that should get looked at first. It used to be a cool shaman ability. Now it’s a headache.
No pet=not a real hunter
Truth is if hunters didn’t have lust, there would be a lot less taken to M+ over +15.
What I don’t get is why can I use FotB w/o a pet, but can’t use lust w/o a pet. It should be part of the perk for taking Lone Wolf.
Should also mention because I don’t have pet out until lust is needed, it takes game about 3 seconds to replace FotB icon with Lust icon…
Petition to give hunters Lust as a baseline and aspect of the pack. So many classes have movement abilities, it sucks to take away our very few raid utility items. (Nobody likes Sentinel Owl as a party helper. Stop lying to us.)
You answered yourself at the end there, my friend. Lust IS a mandatory ability and absolutely IS the reason why certain classes get brought to content. You want to try and get Blizz to remove/substantively change a core component of WoW’s gameplay that has literally existed for decades? Go ahead. In the meantime, the far more sensible solution is for all hunter specs to have lust as a baseline ability. Period.
Why not give every class lust?
Why not give every class every buff? Why ask silly questions?
I don’t see it as silly.
I do think Blizzard doesn’t know how to make it work.
It is silly… Giving it to MM as baseline makes no sense to the class, thematically and in general.
If any Hunter class were to get it baseline it should be BM, as they’re so “in tune” with their pets. Even in this case, I don’t think this should or ever will occur.
Want lust? Don’t take the 10% buff or just summon your pet prior. I’m sure if you did a pet build it would sim very close.
MM should get it if their dismissed pet can lust.
