Started play Survival since MM is on this bad spot. I found that Survival’s lunar storm is triggered by wildfire bomb, a spell that has two charge and its cd can be reduced by other spells. It means when the lunar storm is ready, I can always manage to have a charge of willfire bomb ready to trigger it, which is a good design.
But when it comes to MM, the lunar storm trigger with Rapid Fire, which is MM’s strongest spell. Such spell is meant to be casted as top priority when it is ready. If you have played Sentinel MM, you will find that in many situations, you will need to hold your Rapid Fire to wait for Lunar Storm for maximized dps. That is because Rapid Fire has 20 sec cd, Lunar Storm has 15 sec cd, and also Rapid Fire can sometimes be refreshed by Aimed Shot (Surging Shot talent). It is mostly impossible to allign the cds together. To solve this, make Lunar Storm trigger with Aimed Shot instead of Rapid Fire would be great, because Aimed Shot has a much forgiving cd setting and its cd benefits from haste unlike Rapid Fire.

If they refuse to make it follow the target this is a compromise I can accept.
make lunar storm follow target or a dot or something the amount of times bosses are moved outside of it…because mechanics , aoe , tank pulling more …meh

any1 would think no1 plays MM at blizz HQ.
Please make it move with the target blizzard, no idea how you can sit back and say “Yeah nah, Lunar storm is in a perfect spot right now” with the amount of forced movement on almost all bosses have.

The issue i have with MM is they changed it to more of a heavy gunner now. I don’t like rapid fire or barrage. I don’t feel like they work with the fantasy they have set in this world and it doesn’t feel like it works with most mogs as you don’t rapid fire a bolt action which a lot of guns have that design. I’ve seen bow fire fast but not that fast and if its a crossbow that just straight out of scifi fantasy as i think someone watched the hellsing movie a bit to much.
All in all MM makes my eyes glaze over now with the TWW version. I miss the DF version as i could highly focus on single targets quickly instead of needing to slowly grind down groups. I made it so i would put one thing down hard and fast.
Starting to think they put the call of duty devs in charge of hunter.
Also the hero talents for MM just doesn’t vibe with me since i’m not forsaken or elf. They made dark ranger the sylvanas spec and marksman the night elf moon worshiper.
I would he happy if Owl followed target.
with dragons , magic, hight tech , aliens , talking cows …and a hero with superstrenght and dexterity can toss 10 arrows in 2s?
if anything a trained archer can shoot faster IRL

I mean there was a game where i saw the char toss arrows into the air and fire them in rapid succession because they would fall into place as he goes to fire but with how fast we use rapid fire you don’t even do the full draw and fire.
It needs to do more damage. Number one.
MM is tracking low on warcraft logs now similar to Dragonflight for PVE again. Needs final output adjustments or proc frequency or whatever they like. There is no reason for pvp and pve to be so off for this spec longer term now that data is rolling in. It is again well below BM now for no reason. Some time has passed; all the new MMs should be practiced enough to not be skewing the numbers downward too much.

Movement in raid, pain in the rear end to get off 2 sec AiS, versus BM doesn’t have the issue. So when movement is known you cast a Steady Shot which does garbage damage. Hell you have to cast one every 15 secs or so just so you have resources to spend.
Would like to see energy for MM bumped and eliminate Steady Shot, one can dream
yeah MM needs a boost in dmg period , for a pure dps class on a “caster” spec , the dmg is meh on ST , and “okish” on aoe
multishot needs whirlwind treatment ,aka volley effect , that after multi u have 3 charges of cleave shots…is tiresome pressing multi every other cast …no other class has to weave a weak spell to do aoe , or at least make multi a real dmg spell ,
bulletstorm main failure is not being refreshed , is not like multi hits that hard with bullet buff …
for ST thats another matter u cant just buff ST w/o buffing AoE since we use ST attacks for aoe …

The coefficient on Trick Shots can always be adjusted. If they buff Aimed and Rapid by 30%, they can just nerf Trick Shots to 50% (from 65% right now) and our AoE is unchanged.

It is now the only pure ranged damaged of the 3 specs as BM has the vast majority of its damage generated from melee ranged pets. MM needs parity with the other 2 specs in the data. I say this because I don’t want to ppl to feel like I have a personal gripe against surv or BM because I don’t. I’m just saying this class archetype is ranged and MM is the only ranged DPS spec of the 3 and needs to at least do as good as the weakest of the other two.
