MM PVP, Pet or no pet?

Just got back into rated PVP, Arenas and RBG’s . Was curious as to whether I should use a pet as MM or not. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!

This is a partial copy/paste from another post I made on a related topic. The short answer is both Pet, and No Pet.

I’ll try this out!

Would be an amazing macro. Thank you for this!

Just tried this macro… it’s not working. It will summon pet pet, but not cast MC.

As I stated after the macro, you need to wait about 1/8th second and press the button again. The timing may be a latency issue, so it may be longer (or shorter) for you. It takes a few times of practice to minimize the timing. Regardless, it is very quick and effectively instant, just not obviously so.

Wut how are you so easily summoning and desumming your pet for mortal strike debuff and snare immunity so easily?

Sounds like terrible idea unless you run a comp that doesn’t need your mortal strike. Otherwise to me, you’re running an additional macro phase and GCD use pointlessly…and dangerously unless you got some amazing partners. Also that kind of phasing of game-play, you’re not even getting 10% worth from LW, more like 5%(which would be loss of dps I would think)…overall and 10% on free-cast burst period I guess.

Who uses MM in arena? Oh, that’s right, no one.

For every other area of PvP this is a great macro.

Assuming someone did do arena however, it would still be a great macro. You could still do your opener (the very best part of MM) and then Master’s Call is one instant GCD away as soon as you need it. One GCD is a small trade for that opening burst potential. If you don’t need Master’s Call but do need Mortal Wounds you only need to press the button once instead of the quick double tap required for Master’s Call.

You would obviously keep it out the whole time afterwards (most likely), but at least you get a full burst opener which could be a win.

Seriously though, no one does MM in arena, so this is all hypothetical anyways.
