It is!

It’s getting hard keeping track of the “_________ players are just very bad.”

So it’s not rogues anymore? Or Balance Druids? Or Rets? Or Destro Locks? Or Frost Mages? Are we all over Fury and Arms Warriors now? It’s just getting so hard to keep up ya know? There’s just so many bad players out there.

id be more worried about focusing your efforts torwards the premade community they have ruined the game

I have levelled a few toons the last few days, and it’s hilarious you see the same MM hunters farming the lower level BGs over and over again since for whatever reason they don’t want to max level. I think I also some variations of the same names so when they do level, they start over haha

Q-syncers.

Not in arenas which is where they do balance.
Time to stop balancing in 3s. Its never worked.

Well, it is a true statement to say that “MM players are frequently very bad.” However, it is somewhat similar to saying that “Men frequently have hair and aren’t bald.”

I remember a time when a good hunter was impressive, When jumping turning concussive shotting and disengaging, all without hitting the ground, was crazy to me.

Seeing a hunter successfully kite someone around arathi basin like it was the most natural thing made me actively want to play the class, and i did.

Now all that intricacy seems to be gone, Kiting people is next to unnecessary, in anything but arenas, and you can kill someone in 3 to 4 seconds.

This is not an admission that they’re over powered monsters that need to be smited by the oh mighty smiter, but that doesnt mean they’re not the training wheels class. It’s kind of sad honestly.

100% agree with you there. Offensive power has diminished the necessity to have good defensive play. Many people die before they can even make contact to you.

I think that, generally speaking, doing damage is too easy and the real thing that separates good players from average players is their defensive gameplay, but for SL and DF defensive gameplay has taken the backseat to just blowing people up before they can react.

It’s a coping mechanism. You need MM Hunters to be bad at something. You need them to fail at anything so that you can feel like you’ve somehow still won while you wait for that release button. It’s the same mentality we saw when Rets were OP. It’s the same attitude we saw when DH was OP. Not all Hunters are great, but they aren’t bad either. You just want them to be.

A good hunter is still very impressive. Random Battleground performance shouldn’t be how you measure skill.

That depends entirely on the class too though doesnt it? Hunters can sniper shot to do obscene damage, Frost dks have to do a specific combo and keep 3 people in one spot to do their burst, and if you dont you’re objectively worse than UHDK.

I’ve not seen a truely good hunter in a long time.

Seeing as its my preferred content, and have seen many a skilled person there, ill keep drawing my perspectives from there. Is it the end all be all of skill, no not at all, Is a bg a measure of skill? yes absolutely.

For some, perhaps. But for me, the point I was trying to make is that you could simply say “ players are frequently very bad.”

However, I don’t like using the word “bad.” I prefer experienced vs. inexperienced, because I think everyone has the potential to become a better player than they currently are (including myself).

I rarely see skillful plays in random BG’s or Epics as is. It’s all meme gameplay and premades. It’s hard to notice skillful plays when you’ve been hit with 3-5 sniper shots by a bunch of hunters stacking all mastery.

I honestly feel like the hunter thing is blown way out of proportion. I’ve been back to the game for mayyyybe a month now, aside from leveling my new dk, i’ve done nothing but bgs, I’ve not seen a single bg with more than 2 hunters on each team. Even if my sample size is small, its not nearly as prominent as the community would have you believe
