This weekend I was running the 4 tw dungeons for the heroic loot. I received the Tiny Pal weapon. I already have been using 781 ilvl P.O.W 2 for awhile. Tiny pal is MM bis. Since I have both, would it be better to use my bis for a slight decrease in ivl or stick with my higher ilvl POW 2? I tried simming and for some reason each time I simmed it would only sim for the POW 2 for about 2.5 mil dmg (I’m not that good lol).
Not even close. The 781 will be heaps better. You can try simming it but the only time you’ll take off that crafted gun will be if you get a Mythic Tiny Pal capped to 8/8 Mythic. And even then most people say the Crafted is still better.
edit - It’s the raw stats. That’s what makes the Crafted gun superior. The tiny cantrip on the Tiny Pal is nice but will barely make up for the couple of Ilv the Mythic gun will have. The Heroic wont even come close. Sorry. Great drop, but not right now in today’s environment.

People were probably using PoW early due to acquiring tiny pal and ascendance possibly being better for prog but I think overall Tiny Pal is better just because of weapon stats
Simming is always your best bet. Ideally you want the higher ilvl weapon due to weapon damage so unless you have a mythic weapon PoW is the better choice.
Ah ok, I found what I was getting wrong.
Mythic TP is best for sure, it has HIGHER Ilv than the Crafted Gun. I was thinking of the HERO TP when they first got compared. Because the Hero TP has a lower Ilve.

Yes, your Crafted gun is still better than your Hero TP drop.

It will only ever get superceded if you ever get a Mythic TP.

Mr. Robot, our old friend, is probably sad you didn’t ask him first, if indeed he has feelings. He would already show you in numbered ranking where the weapons fall for MM.
Mr Robot is certainly a Stat Supremecist. He’s great for weapons and gear. But not Trinkets. For that he will get shunned into a junkpile. Bloodmallet.
Then don’t go to him for trinkets? Trinkets are easy to test/sim anyway, even in game, depending on the application.

Oh, no denying that. Mr Robot will be your first port of call. I just find his decisions on Trinkets to be … slightly strange most times
You did say he was a stat supremacist. Trinkets that boost a primary/secondary would “rate better” than trinkets that did some other buff. He wouldn’t really know the difference between a trinket that could provide something with more math power than the absence of a statbooster.
Yes, that’s the issue mainly. It tends to favour and give more weight to some trinkets because they have good stats. It’s ability to discern on use abilities is spotty.
