No, they definitely did during WoD, that was the expansion where hunters had the 8 Lone Wolf buffs and where every pet brought one of the 8 raid buffs, so hunters could act as an omni-buff class, granting whichever of the 8 buffs the part or raid was missing and most needed. I remember having an addon to track which of the 8 my group was missing and thus which Lone Wolf buff I needed to use.

Most of the spells are no longer in the game, but all of the hunter entries, except AP (which we provided passively via Trueshot Aura) are the Lone Wolf buffs.

And this table on Wowpedia still shows the 6.x era raid buff set, including the Lone Wolf buffs.

Ya, but they had the same buffs in WoD, when Lone Wolf had them too. Note in that first Buffs and Debuffs link that Hyenas are listed under Haste, Wolves under Crit, and Cats under Mastery.

So my assertion was accurate. Pets have not provided the buffs he specified since the end of WoD.

No. I was talking about the buffs that hunter pets gave in WoD. Those just happened to also be the same buffs Lone Wolf could provide in WoD. Hunter pets in WoD, as evidenced by the links above, granted one of the 8 raid buffs. Lone Wolf could alternatively be used to provide one of those buffs instead. Both effects, the pet buffs and the Lone Wolf buffs, were removed in the Legion prepatch.
