Feeling like Aim Shot and RF took a hit with the Black Arrow and other nerfs. Am i crazy? My details was reset so i have no way to check actual number from before.
If true people will still cry out we are OP and no skill, I had somebody tell me I was bad at the game because Arenas have pillars and sometimes those are used to break LoS.
There is only one pillar hating person i know of a certain dk
Close but think holier.
The pvp modifiers are still there, but output from non-DR abilities is down by more than it should be given the modifiers that were lost in the old DR tree. Hunter pvp discord really thinks it’s the pvp modifiers but I’m skeptical. They’re all still in the spelldata.
Whether its a stealth nerf, bug, or just really poor tuning - it doesn’t really matter. The point of the shift to this version of dark ranger was to reduce aimed/rapid by a little bit in lieu of the shiny new button that procs on its own in trueshot and replaces killshot. Going forward, it’s actually going to be impossible for them to put realistic base damage values on regular marks damage + black arrow that make them meaningful to press outside of trueshot while not creating a situation where people are getting accidentally globalled when your first three spells of trueshot all proc a black arrow.
I really didn’t think that they could make the spec any more polarizing, and I thought that we’d learned this lesson with doubletap. This is like 10000x worse. Everything about the old dark ranger was just better for the game, whether you’re playing hunter or playing against hunter.
I played 70 or so blitz’s since the rework and even after losing the +20% talent I was hitting 1.4m+ Aim Shots. Queued 1 last night and my biggest was 998k. Something got messed up.
Dark Ranger Marksman rework playstyle just feels like it took a major step backwards in terms of just how fluid it is to play. It genuinely feels clunky, especially with the 4 to 5 second gap having nothing to press but steady shot and arcane shot when you’re out of aimed shots. Even if they bring the lethality of our damage back I still am disappointed with how it plays with the pruning.
