MM changes, TLDR - more AOE, DPS Loss with Lone Wolf

In a nutshell - more AOE, and now you can Lust at a DPS loss (Lone Wolf -5% damage).

Absolutely ridiculous.

The DPS loss to summon your pet to BL is less in TWW, not more.
And the changes aren’t just AOE although the AOE changes are good.
I love the new Wailing Arrow (and Wind Arrows), and the new Eagletalon’s True Vision.

Which part is ridiculous, could you expound? I see the Lone Wolf change as healthy for the game.

Lone Wolf (+5% without pet) and Trigger Finger (+5% attack speed without pet) mean MM still wants to run without a pet when it can because it’s a good DPS increase.

The fact that flat damage increase is only 5% instead of 10% means

  • Lesser ability to run one shot troll builds in random battlegrounds
  • Which means fewer balance changes that will negatively impact MM in arena
  • Ability to bring lust in m+ without as much dps loss in AoE situations

The only people I see this negatively affecting are people who have MM alts for the purpose of slaughtering random bgs. Discouraging these people is absolutely healthy for the game.

Dismiss pet just needs to be an instant spell. That’s it.

Is that remotely significant, though, especially for those not running Lock and Load (the only MM skill that scales with Attack Speed, specifically, rather than general Haste)?

Agreed that not being forced into Lone Wolf is healthier, but it seems basically net neutral now, in which case it really should have been baselined instead of costing someone a talent the likes of Rapid Fire Barrage or Bullseye.

And, ofc, it should only increase auto-attack damage while still permitting the family passive and active utility skill.

No idea honestly. Based on live data no, it would not be significant. I don’t know if they plan on changing that or not.
