Can some of you hunters help check my math so I’m not going crazy here…
I’ve been testing this for hours. Still can’t make any of it make sense.
Either the UI is incorrect or the damage in game.
Steady Shot, Aimed Shot, MutliShot
Are all doing less damage than the advertised damage values when moused over.
Can more of you MM hunters out there test this as well for your self and see.

UI Value: 18,144
In Game Damage: 12,701
Would explain why its hard to feel the buffs.

yeah i noticed this as well. When i enter arena in the starting gates my tool tip says my aim shot is 24,000 but even vs cloth my highest hitting crit was 25k. And my Average Aim shots were around 14,500. MM is a Joke.
TLDR Aim shot is still a wet noodle especially in pvp. I think there is a stealth nerf going on in pvp my aim shots are half of what they should be.

My guess is that Armor is now applied when calculating the damage. AND there is also some broken math in the pvp templates.
overall Blizz has become sloppy as hell with these patches in general.

That’s because the spells you mentioned do physical damage, as they advertise in their description. And physical damage is mitigated by armor. MOBS have armor stats, so that’s why you see that those spells make less damage than they tell.
I understand Physical damage and armor mitigation. but like i said i was hitting a mage in arena and my aim shots were average damage on details were around 15k with crits only getting as high of 25k. Sorry but Mages use to be scared of mm hunters he literally just stood there and face tanked me no worries.
Mages have armor too… and if you xant beat a mage as ANY spec hunter, you are doing it wrong
can you just go away you’re white knight way to hard for someone who isnt even good at the spec/class. wheres your rating to show your white knighting philosophies

Oh yes because arena is the ONLY pvp with war mode in the game.

i live with my fiance? lol. you still have’t stated a single “fact”? lol “mages have armor” um yeah barely any armor MM hunters have always destroyed mages since Vanilla PVP. That is no longer the case because mm dmg is under tuned in pvp.

With the old steady aim build. i was criting mages/warlocks for 90k if they was full hp with 5x stacks on them lol. actually murdered fire mages/locks in 2k mmr bracket the night before the patch =[
But all that damage came with a long setup. We no longer have that setup. At least not the free crit. Aimed shot is a joke to cast. not only does it have a huge cast it hits for nothing and auto shots don’t persist through the cast. Hell auto’s don’t persist through aimed, RF, or steady. Which makes talents like volley and L&L proc even less.
it also is hurting incidiary ammo. I have been testing as i get better with the spec i am always casting something which prevent it from procing.

nope, i think. rapid fire is a buncha little bbs, bounces off real armour. as a tank in legion i had trinkets for that kinda crap… oh, well, not quitting again. luck to youse!
God blizzard, can we have ONE of our ranged specs viable? i’m tired of being a god damn tarzan in pvp, it’s not fun being forced to play melee to be a viable class. this is garbage and i will legit quit if i have to have another season of survival being our only spec.
The numbers you show for in-game damage are all exactly 30% lower than the UI values.
So either your opponent has 30% reduction from armor+versatility or there’s a flat 30% damage reduction for MM in pvp. Since those are all physical shots, you should test Arcane Shot as well. Also test with different targets. If different opponents have different reductions then it’s definitely the armor+versatility. Otherwise it’s a flat nerf.
plate users have around 30% phy reduction, were you hitting them?
