My little ensemble has Belt, Gloves, and Boots from Firelands; chest is BFA, Leggings are Legion, shoulders somewhere in Vanilla, and the Headpiece is WoD. Anyone else use Transmog that isn’t just a full on matching set?
My hunters mog looks like a legit set. But its from everywhere!
Gloves are from a quest in Azshara. Her belt is a BoE blue from Cataclysm. Bracers are from Ignis in Ulduar(WotLK). Legs are from Heroic Il’gynoth in Emerald Nightmare(Legion). Boots don’t matter since they aren’t really seen but just using Legion Class Hall boots. Shoulders are from Terrace of Endless Springs(MoP). Chest is a LW’ing pattern from MoP. And her weapon is from Halls of Reflection(WotLK)
So, that’s…Vanilla(but not Vanilla), WotLK, Cata, MoP and Legion for her set. Five different expansions to make a gorgeous set. It is one of my favorites from all the sets I’ve made.
Yes, lots of people do. I’m using pieces from 3 sets.
I mix it up a lot, too. Some sets look good as a whole, but some hunter sets look a bit bad, IMO. I just wish we could mog into leather for looks, most leather looks very nice vs mail.
My current mog is a mix of vanilla, TBC and BFA.
Mixing up your own set and making it work will always be infitetly better than just throwing on a full set.
Some of the full sets are nice and I’ve worn them but they just aren’t as creative of an endeavour.
Agreed unless it’s the VE full set because I do adore all those pieces together.
Eh for my BE here it’s still a bit of mix 'n match. The theme is blue accents, silver, with black/brown parts. There is an Allie bow that would be great matching my current shoulders but welp…she is horde so this one sort of works.
Dress your toons however you want and just have fun. It may not be someone’s cup of tea but does that even matter?
