Mithril bars are worth , how much?

Did I make a mistake and make mithril bars instead of keeping it as ore to sell.
I don’t find anyone in AH selling bars. ?

Depends on the demand for the ore over bars for early-game content as well as the need for bars on your server.

For instance, mithril ore might be the best source for prospecting rare gems and is worth double or triple the price of the smelted bars, which are only useful for some easy to acquire transmog gear. Other materials might be more valuable as bars than raw ore as they are needed for a legendary quest that makes them more valuable and convenient in bar form.

Depending on your server, demand for the bars might only peak on the weekends, when more players are doing old content. Or the price is too high on your server and more players are willing to farm their own ore/bars with an alt. My understanding also, is that the new deposit fees for raw materials like ore and bars still applies to older content, significantly increasing the cost to post items on a daily basis that rarely sell. So they might sell the bars via trade chat rather than the AH.

You can also still get skillups from smelting Vanilla ores. Ore has almost always been worth more to sell than finished bars. It is a… feature of WoW profession design that using your profession typically reduces the usefulness of materials (since it can now be only one or at least fewer things in the future) and so reduces their sell value.
