What’s the state of MW for at most heroic raiding and some casual 15ish M+? I’ve had this benched since start of BFA and have thought about leveling another just to get the hang of it again. Still relatively ‘easy’ ?
I’m topping the healing meters (not that that really means anything) in heroic raid against 2 resto druids and a disc priest. We are still progressing, made it to Tswift. I’m enjoying it, I feel strong.
In M+ I do very well with my hybrid build. Even got my first 20 done last week.
As far as easy goes, it really depends on what talent build you want to play, is most fun for you, and clicks. I personally play a “suboptimal” hybrid build and have no problem pumping heals, it does come with the trade off of lower DPS though.

For raid, even after nerfs, I’m pretty sure it is still the strongest healer right now. It can actually trivialize most raid fights to the point that you can 2-3 heal them.
For M+ I believe it’s actually the best healer. But people prefer disc due to what it brings.
You just play Clouded Focus for raids, and fistweave for M+ if you want to play optimally and you’re chilling.
Even after the nerfs Mistweaver is probably still the second-strongest throughput healer (I’ve seen Holy Priest put out insane throughout). It just feels a bit less satisfying to play with the tick-nerf to Essence Font.
Are resto Druids invisible? They are all over the top of mythic+ with disc.
Anyway MW is probably the strongest it’s been in PvE in a long time.
It’s obvious because I see way more in my raid pugs than I used to.
Similar to how I barely see shadow priests so far this season and see a million havoc DHs that used to be more rare.
Players fotm hard every season.

Easier to screw up on an rdru than any other healer. You’re just going to have an easier time with other healers over an rdru, even with how good it is in M+ rn.

You’re not wrong, but it’s just fundamentally true that rdruid is harder to perform on than other healers. If you fall behind on an rdruid, you never catch up in this set of keys.

I’ve never been closed to being out healed by any class in heroic raid, I’m talking doubling others output more often than not
Anything can be God tier in ~15s
It may be weird to get used to being a melee healer if you’re not used to it, but it’ll be easy enough
Melee Mistweaver (ancient teachings, Faeline, essence font(for raid)) is very fluid and quite easy to get the hang of imo.
Caster MW is also quite good, but I am biased toward melee.
M+
You’re using FS, ReM + Vivify, and hitting things to heal your group for up to moderate-high damage.
Sheilun’s Gift, Revival, ReM + Vivify, and the occasional Soothing Mist + ReM + Vivify spam for heavy AoE and ST healing
On bigger packs throw out ReM, Faeline, and spin to win, Essence Font on the move or if you don’t get a good Faeline reset.
Raid
Thunder Focus with a Mana Brew and EF can get heals rolling and will more than likely be your top heal.
Faeline melee combo for overall healing, Sheilun’s Gift for the buff and big group heals.
You can also use TfB with ReM for the haste buff, and throw out some Envel Mist with the Green Snake for good AoE heals. Use a Mana Brew for reduced cost.
