I have been thinking of starting a new class after buying the new expansion pre-order and getting a 120 boost. I’ve been primarily thinking of monks since I love pandas and monks seem to be the most fitting class for them.
I’ve been wondering whether MW or WW is more fun right now. The primary things I’m planning to play are arenas and some dungeons. I’m not sure if I’m too interested in raids as I’m not a hardcore player.
What would you guys recommend?
I boosted a Monk for Windwalker and it’s fun as heck.
Don’t know about raiding or dungeons, but it breezes through WQs like they are nothing.

Have you tried some arena yet? I really enjoyed that when I played enhancement.
I find both specs to be a lot of fun; mistwalker in particular is my favorite healing spec in the game due in large part to its tight, efficient heal package.
I’m not a big PVPer, but I did some arenas for Conflict and Strife as windwalker—going full super saiyin with cooldowns is fun
I’d do MW just to gear up. Ww is kinda weak without proper traits and essence and people generally don’t like taking ww into pug groups. I love mw my favorite healing spec and it’s great for bursting weeks
This is refering to pve.

Really depends on your tastes. WW I’d say is not as fun as some other melees. I personally am not a fan of the way they AoE (having to build SCK stacks, while also building chi so you can SCK/FoF) and they do subpar damage right now in the raiding scene.
MW I enjoy because I enjoy being a mobile healer. But they are middle of the pack in terms of end game things like M+/Raid/PvP.
If you want a strong DPS or strong healer, Monk isn’t there at the moment.
Really? I think WW is the most fun simply because their mastery/hit combo.
DH is SO spammy that it sucks any enjoyment I have from it.
Mastery/hit combo gives it a fun single target rotation, but I’m referring to AoE rotation. Alternating SCK with TP tab targeting isn’t really that fun.
Oh that’s fair, maybe if FoF spread Mark of Crane from the initial target to all hit targets. Caps at 5 anyway, and would make the AoE rotation much smoother.
I was thinking of just making SCK cost energy instead of chi and having it generate 2 chi if it hits 3 or more targets or something the like.
So you basically use it instead of TP for AoE and it generates chi which you use to FoF. Can also make it reduce FoF’s CD by like .3s for every target it hits.
I love Mistweaver so far.
I’ve never been complimented so much as a healer and I’ve brought back unwinnable fights from the brink.
I can see how mana can be an issue but I just need more practice.
Also, in the words of a certain McElroy…
Gotta have my vape.
