Mistweaver - Not having fun anymore

Don’t want to be mean but I looked at your profile and you haven’t done any 10s.

Look up my raider io I have indeed done 10s! I wasnt suggesting i was an amazing healer or pushing high keys. I just wasn’t having any issues healing them with the current build! I feel the Monks HPS is solid with the fistweaving!

Where can I find the Mending Prolif build? I don’t see it on Wowhead or IV

I agree that m+ is not fun.

Challenger’s peril affix is too punishing for just one wipe+long walkback.
Previous seasons you could pull big and risk a wipe and still time the key, but this is not the case with S1 and its sucks the fun out of it.

Also the changes to gear progression are busted this season, I raise my io and experience much faster than ilvl, for me this also sucks the fun out of m+.

This is actually part of the reason I am not playing my monk atm. It has no bres and I found that pugging, I could not trust a dps with a bres to actually use it. The chance of a wipe was just too high along with the consequences. It was much easier just to roll as my other character so I could do the keys required to gear. The whole situation just isn’t fun.

Brez is a little overrated tbf with cables being so accessible. Only time its super important is to insta rez a tank that went splat to hopefully recover a pull

MW is still pretty fun for me as a class/ability wise.

For me it’s the game that gets very boring/old fast, and there isn’t much keeping me here past aotc anymore and I don’t really have any sentimentality towards my main characters anymore or motivation to roll an alt. M+'s design has rotted away my desire to do dungeons for the most part.

Healing is still “fun” but IMO they completely failed again at smoothing out damage and making healing as fun/impactful as it used to be, or could be. As long as dps all have 3-5 defensives each or ways to significantly heal up the group or provide damage reduction it will be impossible for the devs to not end up in situations where they need to use one shot mechanics.
Then us healers have to HOPE the dps press their defensive buttons, which they dont. As a healer we shouldn’t have to wait and hope a dps uses their defensive, or rotate through them every 30-60 seconds. It feels bad watching someone get one shot if they don’t have or use defensives; knowing there isnt anything I could have done other than waste life cocoon early, which still usually wont prevent a one shot if the person didn’t defensive.

IMO they should try ONE expansion where DPS defensives are nerfed heavily, give tanks a slight buff, and add more power back to healers, buff dps’ damage to compensate.

I LOVE MW and wow healing, but I just cant do it anymore past a few months per season/aotc. The repetitiveness and gear track hamster wheel feel really bad this time around and if I don’t take a break now I doubt I will be coming back for S2 or Midnight.

TLDR: It’s not monk or necessarily healing that isn’t fun for me anymore, it’s the repetitive and unengaging content, and devaluation of healers over the years and having to sit through them trying to “fix one shots” every single expac while ignoring beta feedback.

I pug all the way until now. Mechanic is the most important thing to do. Must interrupt, stun, ring of peace etc. I seldom use fw build. I use current build to get all +11 except GoB +10 only.

MW is not hard, just need to rotate use of CD. My current build is much easier to handle the healing needed in +10 than fw build.

Must know when big aoe damage come so that can rotate CD well. If out of CD, just env 3 dps, rm 2 or 3 dps and spam vivify. Normally it work for all big aoe damage.

Do mechanic, esp interrupt and stun, it really help a lot.

RM, EnvM, Vivify these 3 spells can actually do almost all the jobs.
