Yeah guys haha, great replies thanks for this ![]()
No, you forgot to include the most Important part, make mistweaving as viable as fistweaving.
Buff tear of morning like SL, reduce Vivify’s mana cost, bring back caster/damage stance, make soothing mist passive like it was in Legion.
You say this a lot, but tear of morning hasn’t changed at all from SL.
Make fistweaving smart heal and taking soothing mist off GCD
Well idk what changed ![]()
I remember tear of morning being the best legendary for SL mw monks other than teachings of monastery. Now, no one picks it anymore, it’s sad rly.
The fact is though that Mistweaving playstyle hasn’t been this bad for a lot of expansions and I am sad ok.
I don’t want to fistweave, I don’t like fistweaving. I would gladly take the SL, BFA, Legion, or even WoD version over this.
Do you not enjoy the actual playstyle of it, or do you just not like the tuning?
It’s very clear that the spec is undertuned, at least if you compare to druids and evokers, who do 25%~ more healing in raid, and even higher percantage in dungeons while having a better toolkit for it.
If you like the playstyle, then it’s just about waiting for them to buff vivify and make due in the meantime
THIS x100000!!! I can’t believe how crappy regular healing is compared to Fistweaving. We need a comparable “extend duration of Mist by 4 sec” in regular form. I hate Fist Weaving.
I like both styles I just need blizzard to make whatever playstyle they want worth it in terms of numbers.
I know every time he says it im like what the heck is he talking about…
hah hah yea guys I also love these changes ![]()
this seems like it would be a bit much in a raid and m+ environment where you’re constantly having to look around you at what’s going on. But idk maybe I’m thinking something totally different than what you’re trying to say here.
No one picks it because it competes with Rising Mists, which should be baseline.
If you take Tear you buff your Vivify/Enveloping healing while simultaneously nerfing it because you ruin your ReM coverage.
With RM Vivify cleaves the whole party in M+ because everyone has ReM all the time and Vivify is still a weak spell. Imagine how bad it would be if you could cleave 3 targets at best and usually only 2.
This is the sort of problem that only arises when specs are numerically weak. We take RM to ensure we have 5 targets to cleave with Vivify because it’s the only way we have to AoE heal. If we don’t take it we don’t have a way to AoE heal in any meaningful sense because both RJW and EF are balanced around raids and spamming a 2.5 target healing spell when every other healer heals twice as many targets for more throughput and less mana just isn’t viable.
That is a baaaaad decision, there are other ways to go about buffing mw monks than making Rising Mists baseline.
In the past, Rising Mists was never baseline. Nor should it ever be.
The reason they kept it that way is to not force people to fistweave, I’m pretty sure I can even pull up a blue post saying that.
This is what I want, The problem is that the DF version of MW monk has the worst mistweaving build since they basically zoned in on fistweaving this expansion.
Dude, being able to KICK things does NOT remove being able to CAST things. I dont know why you feel anything that improves general Monk is going against Caster play.
Casters kick too. I know you dont want to believe it, but youre not a priest. Your “Smite” is a punch. Doesn’t mean you’re a “Fistweaver”
Lol who else is left? The elite and the casual. I was under the impression that covers the entire demographic?
