For the trash skip where the is the skirmish before the mushroom pack/area. I can’t seem to figure out the CC conditions or what works and doesn’t.
Is it only certain CC that will not put it in Combat? I feel like i have monk Paralyzed before and it works fine, other times after 60 seconds it breaks when we are way ahead on the thrashers and it pulls the whole pack. Just curious on how the mechanics of this work to keep it consitant.

You can paralyse/ring or I have also imprisoned them.
Just the right most is required.
Rogue sap has worked every time I’ve done it.
DH imprison does as well I believe.
thats what im doing, im CCING the furtherest on to the Right (where you hug the Wall), however after the CC duration is finished it considers it as starting combat and it pulls he pack.
That’s weird. Unsure as to what caused that. I have seen para and then ring but maybe that was just for good measure.
Freezing trap did not work for me. LOL

I’ve always seen monks do para and ring, maybe you need the push back from ring to avoid a combat start.
Or maybe someone was standing too far back and butt pulled. Dunno.
Thanks for the tip. And its not butt pulling, were like a mile away by the first boss… I could be crazy but it only seems to happen sometimes. I wasn’t sure if paralyze doesn’t work (im sure it does) or if like… if the party is in combat when the CC breaks it considers us in combat… something is wonky.

Any out of combat cc works, if someone goes slightly too close tho they will pull

there’s a trick to it
the only CC’s that work to skip this pull are CC’s that don’t put you in combat (dh imprision, monk incap, mind soothe, etc)
since hunter trap or sheep put you in combat if you get too close to them once they’re cc’ed you cannot use those cc’s and then just walk past the mob.
but what you can do is
have the party stand back a bit
trap the mob
you get close to it (but not too close, you don’t want to aggro the other mobs)
everyone in the party walks past between you and the wall to a safe spot
you walk a little away and feign death.
presto, you just skipped that pack with your trap. same thing works with sheep for mages.

PSA EVERYONE
Most classes have finesse conduits that cause a cc effect to cause a slow. If you cc that pack and then it pulls later it’s because the debuff put you in combat

Imprison, paralyze(monks also ring of peace while paralyze), sap and freeze trap will work fine, probably others but don’t remember
For the mobs by the mushroom same thing + priest mind soothe
Thats the thing… im using Paralyze (monk). Seems to sometimes pull them after duration runs out.
This the the thing I have seen most often. I sap the mob, then 60 secs later they aggro onto the Mage who walked past too close.

You probably have the para conduit that slows.
i don’t. I just double checked. I tried it last night even paralyzing it and RoP to push it closer to the other mobs and it still made it pull
