I really had a blast with pvp in MoP. But I’m also a cata baby so what do I know.

No, that is the xpac that made me quit WoW, friggin’ kung fu pandas have no place in Azeroth. IMO of course.

MoP - The expansion where PvP thrived, and you had 50 dailies to go along with farming.

6/10 in my books

I hated everything about MoP (removal of the old talent trees, gutting of classes, pandas and silliness, one-off lore, …). Except for tank mechanics. I enjoyed tanking with the addition of active mitigation and significant self healing.

(even if Vengeance went way over the top)

That said, I won’t say “don’t make MoP servers” or I’d be a hypocrite since I think the “NO TBC!” posts are silly.

It was the best expansion for pvp gameplay most top pvpers agree

silly troll… everyone knows that TBC was the most balanced and glorified pvp era of all wow series.

I wouldn’t know. I haven’t done any sort of serious PvP focus in WoW since Wrath, and I’ve never bothered with arenas.

Panderia is what i get when i eat too much bread as a person intolerant of gluten

So space goats, cows and furry werewolves are okay, it’s just the pandas that are the problem. Did I get that right?

that doesn’t even make sense.

The fantasy aspect of the game is not the issue here, it’s the fact that I’d rather not play a Disney based game with little connection to actual Warcraft Lore outside of “Chens empty Keg.”

Edit: But like I said before, that is my opinion. So say what you like, but you won’t change my mind. /shrug

The pandas were just the nail in the coffin of a game slipping off into casual rp mode.

The warcraft universe is much better with the original races.

I want a legion server. By that I mean no i don’t

Well, I wasn’t trying to change your mind, I was just curious as to why the notion of playing as a panda would put you off.

But now I see it’s less of the race itself and more of the overall fantasy aspect that didn’t mix well with you. I can totally respect that.

Good day.

I’ve always loathed this sentiment. I get that the timing of it was not great with that movie having been released so recently, but Pandaren existed in Warcraft lore well before that. Chen Stormstout was in Warcraft 3.

I’ll admit, I was one of the many people who was a little put off by the MoP trailer and how it seemed like they were going for a sort of comical vibe, it felt like they were intentionally trying to take WoW in a different, lighter direction, and I wasn’t happy about it.

Then I got to play it. It quickly became one of the best time periods of WoW for me. Pandaren seem like a joke, but their actual lore was a lot more interesting and serious than their general carefree demeanor suggests. The whole idea of monks (which I’ve been maining since then) was the Pandaren rising up to overthrow their mogu slave masters, learning to fight with their hands and whatever tools they could find against overwhelming odds for their freedom and very survival.

“Kung Fu Pandas” may not have a place in WoW, but they made the Pandaren into so much more than that. I understand if you still don’t like them, but I think it’s a little disingenuous to refer to them as just that.

I loved MoP. Definitely better than Cata, WoD, Legion, or BFA in my opinion. Great class design and pvp. Would totally play a MoP server

TBC or bust. If you didn’t play in that era you have no room to talk.

that was the most balanced Xpac of all Xpacs.

people liked some of MoP endgame, nobody prefers the rest of the game to other xpacs.
