I am trying to get Chen Stormstout’s Bamboo Hat as a vulpera and realized the required achievement Campaign: Kun-Lai Summit says (alliance only). On my way to completing the campaign I stopped getting quests.
Firstly, does this have to do with being on the wrong faction or is the quest just bugged. Second, will I even get the reward on horde side? If not I feel a little cheated and my interest in the event is waning. At this point I dont know if buying a while faction change is worth it if the quest is broken in the first place.
I have completed the other requirement for the hat: Tour Kun-Lai and it would be a pain to do it all over especially if it breaks again.
Horde and Alliance have different questing areas, so there are different achievements to reflect the differences in campaign. This is the horde achievement.
You will get the reward on both factions. You don’t even have to do the campaign if you do the LFG portion of that achievement along with the tour portion you’ve already completed. I have the transmog without doing the campaign yet. My achievement in-game doesn’t even list the campaign as a sub-achievement, but that is probably a bug.
If you would like to complete the campaign, you can add your character to this wowhead tool and select Pandaria > Kun-Lai Summit, it will show which quests you haven’t completed and it may help you find what you’re missing. Just be aware that some expansions send you back to Pandaria to complete other questlines, or there are some you can’t do in remix (like Tillers in Valley of the Four Winds) so there are probably some that you can ignore.
One of the quests I found that wasn’t listed well for the Kun’-lai achievement is that you need to do one of the two grummie escort quests.
The grummle escort quests are part of the burlap trail series, which is listed as criteria.
Thanks for that resource! It helps a lot.
