Mistakes: - On My End. Meh. Now I Gotta Look Up PST vs. PDT!
PSA: Blizzard, Please List Time Zones (PST, PDT, GMT -7/S \ -8/D)
Edit: Welp, that went about as normal. Sigh.
Actually listing local server times and time zones on the in-game Servers list may aid us!
Even when OUTSIDE of a server.
1 - So each region should have a master GMT list +/-(x) for the group…
2 - Each server has a local time, and in terms of LOCAL and GMT, or Grenwich Mean Time,
You guys seriously need to learn that if a clock says:
3:00 pm - (It lists PDT. I think a major part of this is, why is it PDT and PST when it looks like they should use PST / PDT instead? Officially, mind, the people on the Date and Time controls…?)
If you don’t have:
3:00 pm, PST, GMT -7 (Pacific Standard Time) - (Daylight Savings Time, PDT, starts [date])
Yer gonna face this every Tuesday unless patching and maintenance go fundamentally different.
Please advise?

2004 called.
2022 reports silence upon dial.
Edit:
Nicely snarky. Still wrong. Although the PST / PDT confusion is strong in me now…

I always thought:
PDT was Daylight Savings Time
PST was Pacific Standard Time
PDT is Pacific Daylight Time, for short…?

would love that. i live in est… and i’m awful at converting pdt to est.
You are correct. DST is active right now, that’s why they use PDT during these months. Standard time is the other half of the year. When DST ends in a couple weeks, they should swap back to PST in the notices.

Ah.
Hm.
No wonder the Native Americans made the parable of the cut rug or blanket.
I’d figure the PDT was during the time when it’s clocks back an hour…?
'Cuz that at least makes sense.
Seriously? It says "3:00 PM (PDT) on the notice. How much clearer does it need to be? Advocate for people learning time zones rather than Blizzard dumbing things down even more.

Did one of the west cost states get rid of daylight savings?
Honestly I’ve never understood why Blizzard doesn’t just localize the time (i.e., display it in the user’s timezone).
Here in the US we’re ON daylight time through the summer, until Nov 6th, this year. So the PDT in the notice is correct. And google will convert PDT to your local, easily.
