Missing talents? (60 Boosted Evoker)

So I boosted an Evoker to 60 and started questing. I got to level 72 and realized that I’m getting talent points each time I level, but I have no talent tree. When I hit ‘n’ I only see the three evoker specializations.

In the quest log I have “Dracthyr, Awaken: Continue the campaign by accepting the quest “Awaken, Dracthyr” in the War Creche” but there is no quest there for me to pick up.

There was a quest just outside org that I completed that introcuded the Dracthyr to the horde. I completed that, but there wasn’t a follow up. What do I need to do to unlock my talents?

You have to choose one of the three specializations before you can add talents.

And where do you choose? I have switched into all three specs.
I was asked about my preferred spec during the boost before I even logged in to the character. You could only choose devastation.

Click the Activate button on the page showing all 3.

I have already activated all 3 specs. I still do not have a talent tree.
Currently I have Devastation activated. I can activate Preservation or Augmentation. It just changes my spec. I do not have talents.

Same experience here.

Boosted to 60, leveled to 70 through doing Echo’s, no talents tab ever showed up. I have activated and switched between the three talent specializations, performed a full UI reset, nothing has worked. No talents section will show up.

I just completed the quest “An Iconic, Draconic Look” and in my chat window it said “New Feature Unlocked: [Talents]”. But, still no talents section. The only tabs that are visible are Specialization and Spellbook.

Another character in game was able to inspect me and it shows that I do have a talent tree and am missing 5 points on each side. Very weird bug. This needs to be fixed before release or I’ll have to reroll character and deal with Blizzard to get my boost refunded.

Update:

Got a reply from my own Blizzard ticket…useless. Not only is this not an internet issue, a few of the links in their generic, canned response are dead links (why they prohibit from posting in the forum)

Thanks Blizzard!

UPDATE 2:

I’m still pending response from Blizzard on my refund request for the boost. I’ll eat the time put in to level, but I’m not eating the boost cost.

Still no talents over here. I completed the embassy quests from out front of Org after boosting, then competed the Visage form quest. My chat window notified me that I unlocked talents, yet nothing ever showed up.

Bugs happen within any software/ coding driven environment, but the way Blizzard handles these reports (or rather, lack of handling) is frustrating as a long term player. Seems to get worse every year.

Sounds similar to the response I got. For my issue, I was able to find out that I am unable to pickup the “Aspectral Invitation” quest. Explained a bit better here:

I just got a refund and canceled my subscription since it doesn’t seem like Blizz cares to try to fix this. So much for coming back to play.

My gf is having this exact same issue. She used a 60 boost on an Evoker and does not have access to her talents page. She has disabled all addons. She has changed to all 3 specs. She is unable to figure out how to do the dracthyr, awaken campaign quest.

The point of a boost is to just let you play a character. This is really frustrating.

Check to see if you’ve completed this quest chain:

You can use the /slash commands to see which part you’re on.
You might have the same problem I have, I’m stuck on part 3.) Aspectral Invitation

Yes. This is extremely frustrating. I’m not playing like this.

I got this issue too. I used a level 60 boost to create a new Evoker and leveled to 70 in the pre-patch event using Radiant Echoes. I was not familiar with the starting zone requirements for Dracthyr and the token let me create the character without any errors. It seems like its not possible to do the starting zone quests to unlock the talent tree and gear manager? Do I need to delete the character and lose all the level progression, gear and boost token? I tried doing the starting zone on another alt without the boost (same realm) and quested until the talent tree was unlocked. I then deleted that character to see if the quest progression registered on the level 70 character. It had no effect. Is there some method to get the character features unlocked?

You need to complete this quest chain. You should check to see your progress:

You can use this command to see if you’ve completed the first step:
/run print(C_QuestLog.IsQuestFlaggedCompleted(65435))

run the command for each step in the quest chain to see where you are and what you need to complete.

I’m also having this issue. I’ve completed the quest in stormwind to send me to the dragon isles. Hoping this gets a fix soon. I can’t see a specialization or talents.

Hi, I got the same issue. unfortunately, Ebyssian not show up, where can I find him? thx

got the same issue here, got no help from blizz support (automatic awser), just found some internet stuff talking about to wait 24 to 48 hours to talents and acess to LFG to show up

Yeah same issue here as well. Boosted and no talents showing up. Did the starting area on another toon and that one has talents now after the visage quest in SW. I did the visage quest in SW on the boosted and still no talents.

Where the heck are you guys filing tickets? I searched all through the amazingly helpful Support webpages, but they have the ability to actually submit a ticket buried somewhere I cannot find.

You can submit a ticket in game from the toolbar menu, it might be the ‘Help’ or ‘Support’ button, can’t remember. It isn’t as easy as it used to be and you will certainly get some sort of automated response at first. You used to be able to have a conversation, but now they just send you an email message and mark your ticket “Solved” after being no help.

I was able to unlock talents and LFG by having a friend create a new Dracthyr and share the intro quest. Then I logged off and back on and saw my talents and LFG unlocked.

Problem still: I dont have the starter spells because I skipped the zone entirely and couldnt get back in.

Edit - after dinging 70 I received all spells not learned by the intro quest. Consider this resolved

Summary: My Evo was boosted to 60. Game skipped the Dracthyr intro. After I was 65, my friend reshared the intro quest on a new Evoker. This unlocked talents and LFG. Then when I hit 70 the game gave me all the spells missed in the intro.
