There are 2+ items that require you to right click and use them to create a new item. One example of this is the Bottled Essence which creates a Spark of Ingenuity, the end game crafting material that you can only get one of currently and craft epic gear. You cannot make this currently even if you have the item in your bag, you just get an error "Missing Reagent: Bottled Essense, even though this is the item you are right clicking. The same thing happens with Key Fragments and Key Framing to create a Restored Obsidian Key. Sure there are other items like this that are not working

I figured it out, an “Artisians Supply” quests will bug out these items and cause the game to think you do not have the reagent, abandon/complete the quest and it will work again!

I dropped the miguel one but I still cannot recraft as it says I am missing mettle, of which I have 300

Disabled all of my addons, so that’s not it.

Use best quality doesn’t make a difference

Thank you! Couldn’t figure out why it wasn’t letting me combine the items for the ‘Hidden Hornswog Hoard’ treasure and it was this exact problem.

Abandoned the Artisan quest and then I was able to combine the items.

PSA: This quest is NOT awarding the Spark of Ingenuity after doing the fix. The maiden says congrats but it’s not in my bags or shows up on the crafting station when clicking items to make that requires it.

I put in a support ticket so I hope Blizz can mail this super rare crafting mat.

Did anyone else actually receive theirs???

Yep my quest list was bugged so it wasn’t showing the Artisan’ Supply quest in the log. After a while it showed up, I dropped it, i can recraft now, and she no longer has this quest

I deleted the bottled essence, and I was able to complete the quest, but I didn’t get a spark. Ticket incoming!

Maybe try item recovery?

received an auto response that my ticket was “resolved” and they linked me to known issue about this quest for the work around…but the work around is pointless if the quest completed and we did not receive the rare crafting mat.

I had the same issue. I just realized it today and put a ticket in.
