Missing Quest Markers above Quest Givers

I noticed while questing in Battle for Azeroth to unlock the Zandalari, the main quest givers no longer have quest markers above their heads. Every now and then I get excited to see one but it is usually a side quest and not the main storyline. I can’t quite pinpoint what would be causing it to be intermittent.

I can still click on them and get the quest, and the quest does display on the map but if I run up to said quest giver, there is no indicator until I hover over them and get the exclamation point that way. It just makes thing difficult in groups of npcs since I have to hover over each one until I find who has it, or if the quest giver has an npc name shared with others its the same struggle of playing ‘find the quest’

I have screenshots if necessary. Anyone else running into this?

*This is on a lvl 51 Troll btw not the Vulpera

You should be able to track “Trivial Quests” on your tracking menu to show previous-expansion quest markers.

Same problem here… I’ve started the Shadowlands quests with a level 51 and now returned to Kul Tiras to play some content I didn’t get a chance to. The initial quest lines start ok, then a few quests in the markers have disappeared above quest givers. Available quests are there if I randomly click on an NPC but I have no way of knowing without the yellow exclamation mark.

read the post directly above yours for the solution…

Same problem here.

Ahhh couldn’t find that option so wasn’t sure if it was a legitimate solution - but found it and it now works  For noobs like me who couldn’t find it, click the magnifying glass (Tracking) on the Mini Map and enable Trivial Quests.
