Missing Pets Issue

I’m experiencing a bizarre problem in World of Warcraft. When I tried to use Hatespark the Tiny in a pet battle, it was missing! I started checking my other pets and discovered that I’m missing a large number of them across different expansions.

Has anyone else encountered this issue? I’ve searched the forums but couldn’t find any similar reports. I’ve tried restarting the game, but that didn’t resolve the problem.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated

Firstly, are you using any addons related to pet battling? If so, disable them, reload and search again.

If that doesn’t work, try a full UI reset if you are certain you do in fact own those pets and have not caged them or sold them.

For addons you can just save the copies of the WTF and Interface somewhere and if addons are not the issue you can just put them back.

Thanks for the suggestions. I’ve tried disabling my pet battling addons, reloading the game, and even did a full UI reset, but unfortunately, the issue persists. I’ve double-checked my Pet Journal and I’m certain I haven’t caged or sold the missing pets.

I play with battle pets every day (its the only thing left in the game that I like) and I’ve not had this happen to me yet. However, I do have a large collection (1578 unique, 4206 total pets) and don’t play all every day.

Isn’t Hatespark the Tiny one of the old pets that are being resurrected for the 20th anniversary for Blizzard? if so, there might be a correlation. Also, I use the add-on Rematch to organize all my pets.

At first, I thought there might be a connection between the issue and the 20th anniversary event, but then I discovered I’m missing a ton of pets and expensive ones, all of which are recageable. Now I’m concerned that my account might have been hacked. I can’t think of anything else.

Maybe post this is the Customer Service forum and see if Bliz can help?

Thank you. I’ll do that. I checked in the armory and they’re showing as not collected. Opened a ticket stating that I might have been hacked, hopefully they respond soon.

I second this. Although they cannot actually do anything for you, they may be able to look in some logs and see something you cannot. It’s worth a shot. You can simply edit this post using the pencil icon and select move to Customer Support.

I would air on the side of caution and perhaps change password etc, though a few pets missing and that’s all, does not suggest to me that you have been hacked.

I just want to check something though, I’m sure it’s not this, but you’re not logging into character on a different region (account) to check are you?

No. I mean I play in the US and LA, but it’s the same region anyway. It is a massive number of pets. I have all pets but two and now I’m missing maybe 100 or so. I just changed my password.
