No matter what I do, I can’t get the minimap to load. I’ve tried resetting the UI multiple times and nothing works. Are there any other tips or tricks that I can try?
Do a full UI reset, once you follow the instructions your UI should be full blizzard stock, see if the mini-map returns if it does rename your folders with “old” on the end, and see if the same thing happens.

If you mean the minimap that you can bring up by hitting shift+m (not the upper-right hand one, I mean the lower-right hand one that is useful for battlegrounds), it won’t show up when running the game in certain resolutions. You’d have to run the game in one of the resolutions that supports it.
It’s also not possible to move it to a different spot on your screen with the Edit menu, and on the resolutions it does correctly show up on, it’s placed clumsily directly up against the very bottom pixel of your screen with no gap.
