Missing mail

I sent some items from one character to another, last night, and the items still haven’t arrived. Does anyone know of something that can be done about it?

Is it possible you misspelled the character name?

Not unless the mailbox dropdown is misspelled by Blizzard.

Probably auto filled someone else and you didn’t notice.

Last night I tried to send mail to an alt Spiffer (which I’ve done many times before) and instead of it auto filling Spiffer after I typed Spi it for some reason decided I was looking for someone named Spicywiener on a different server I have no characters on.

I’ve noticed when I send mail to my alts the mail icon won’t notify me of anything. If I check the mailbox its all usually there but it happens everytime I send my bank alt stuff.

Just check the mailbox still, even if you don’t have a notification.

The mail finally made it, over 12 hours after sending.

I once sent my brother some mail and without thinking used his battlenet name which is a semi-popular pop culture reference…so I hope the guy that got it enjoys his thick leather.

This has nothing to do with your situation, but I thought my story should be heard.

It also autocompletes with people on your friend list, maybe that’s the culprit? if you’re positive that you didn’t miss mail the items, i’d suggest opening a ticket, GM’s have always been able to restored missing items and i’ve had items stuck in the mail box limbo before.

Can we send by mail to other servers???

I don’t think so, I’m assuming the auto fill is carry over from retail.

I’ve had this happen a few times, so I now routinely check my mail even if no mini-map icon shows up.

Yeah, I’d noticed that as well as the fact that invites and whispers autofill the realm name. I don’t know if that was true when they added cross-realm BGs and thus “authentic vanilla” or if it’s a carry-back from using the Retail client as the base.
