So I logged on today and noticed I had a couple of open slots in a bag I knew had been full. And I had new mail from the lost items guy… I clicked the items to replace them into my bags and nada. My hardened springs and tempered plating (for the quest) are both gone.
Have they been lost forever as I don’t see them counting towards the quest like normal quest items?

had the same issue, I got an item not found message when trying to remove them from the mail so I just deleted the mail to get rid of them.

There are a couple of things you can try before putting in a ticket.
First, disable all your addons and re-load. See if it’s just an addon that’s causing a display issue.
Second, try a Full UI Reset.
